Detailed itinerary of 8 days (7 nights) Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Samburu safari
Day 1: Nairobi
on your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport you will be picked up by your safari driver guide, after a warm welcome you will transfer to your hotel in Nairobi, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: NAIROBI-MAASAI MARA
On the 2nd day of your 8 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Samburu safari, have breakfast and go for a short city tour visiting several amazing sites in Nairobi such as the giraffe center and the national museum among others, have lunch and set off on a journey to Maasai Mara national reserve the most famous Kenya safari destination and a home to a huge population of wildlife. On your way you will have drive through the spectacular Rift Valley landscape and have a stopover for viewing of the escarpments and taking beautiful pictures, you will have another stopover in the Narok town for an encounter with the locals. Arrive in the reserve in the evening, then head to the reserve for an evening game drive looking for predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and African wild dogs with a help of a flash light. Return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Full day in MAASAI MARA
Have early breakfast and head to the reserve for a full day game drive together with your packed lunch, while in the reserve you will participate in morning and afternoon game drive with picnic lunch set along the banks of Mara river where you will enjoy your delicious meals and sights of animals drinking water on the banks of river such as elephants, buffaloes, hippos and many more.
During the game drives you will enjoy watching many animals such as herds of elephants, rhinos, cape buffaloes, cheetahs, warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, elands, African wild dogs and many birds such as herons, secretary birds and many more. in the evening you will return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4.MAASAI MARA-LAKE NAKURU
Check out of lodge after breakfast and go for en-route game drive in the savannah rolling plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve as you exit heading to Lake Nakuru national park a wonderful birding destination in Kenya famous for huge concentration of lesser and greater flamingoes. Birds in Lake Nakuru national park are concentrated on the shores Lake Nakuru, the park also has a rhino sanctuary hosting white and black rhinos.
Arrive in the park in afternoon for lunch at your lodge, then go to the park for an afternoon game drive watching many animals such as lions, rhinos, zebras, warthogs and many more. In the evening you will return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: morning game drive and visit the local community
On the 5th day of your 8 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Samburu safari, wake up early for a cup of coffee and head to the park for an early morning game drive looking for predators such as lions and early risers such as antelopes, zebras and many more. You will also have a boat ride on Lake Nakuru national park enjoying the breeze of the lake and many birds such as pink flamingoes, cormorants among others and hippos on the shores of the lake.
Return to the lodge for late breakfast and rest for a while, after lunch you will head to the local community for a visit enjoying the local culture and practices including their unique way of dressing, taste local meals and interact with locals . return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6.Lake NAKURU-SAMBURU
checkout of your lodge after breakfast and go for an en-route as you exit Lake Nakuru national park heading to Samburu national reserve, on your drive you will encounter the equator and have a brief stopover at Nyahururu Thomson waterfall for amazing scenery and pictures the proceed to the reserve.
Arrive in the park in afternoon, have lunch after checking into your lodge and in the evening you will go for a game drive. Samburu national reserve is situated on the banks of Ewaso Ng’iro River, the reserve it is dominated with palm groves and dense forest inhabiting many animals such as Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, Beisa oryx, giraffe gazelle and many more which you will enjoy watching. Return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 7: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN SAMBURU
Have early breakfast and head to the reserve with your packed lunch, on the game drive you will have a chance to watching many animals including the Samburu specials that are zebras, reticulated giraffes, Beisa oryx, gerenuk or giraffe gazelles and Somali ostrich.
You will have lunch which is set along the banks of Ewaso Ng’iro River and in the afternoon you will go for another game drive. return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 8: Departure
On the last day of your 8 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Samburu safari, after breakfast you will checkout of your lodge and transfer back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
