Detailed Itinerary of 9 Days Best of Uganda Safari
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our company representative and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Visiting the Magnificent Murchison Falls
After breakfast, you will be collected by your driver-guide and drive to the popular Murchison Falls National Park, with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rare rhinos in a protected sanctuary.
Continue with your journey to Murchison Falls and head to the top of the Murchison Falls, where you will see the Nile squeezing through a 7-meter narrow gorge from a width of more than 1 km and dropping below with a thunderous roar, forming a water spray that results in a stunning rainbow.

Day 3: River Nile boat cruise
After an early breakfast, go for a game drive in the Northern Plains of Murchison Falls National Park, known for hosting a high number of savannah wildlife and offering great opportunities for photography of elephants, Uganda kobs, giraffes, waterbucks, lions, and leopards, among several other bird species.
After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat cruise to the bottom of the Murchison Falls, from where great volumes of water escape through the small gorge, forming an immense thundering roar. During the boat ride you will see several water birds plus mammals in big numbers like hippos and crocodiles. At sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have a delicious breakfast, and depart from the Murchison Falls National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through Fort Portal and the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. Enjoy lunch and continue to Mweya Peninsula in Queen Elizabeth National Park for a short game drive. Continue to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Game drive & Boat cruise—Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following your breakfast, go for a morning game drive to see the nocturnal predators as well as the early morning risers like lions, buffaloes, antelope species, leopards, waterbucks, hippos and warthogs, plus several birds.

Day 6: Boat cruise & Chimp trekking Kyambura Gorge
After breakfast, head to the Kyambura Gorge for a chimpanzee trekking adventure, where you will see chimpanzees play, feed and groom each other. Return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest.
In the afternoon, head out for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you will see water animals like hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, buffaloes and elephants along the shores of the channel and several water birds.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Forest via Ishasha Sector tree-climbing lions
After an early breakfast, check out of your lodge and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha Region in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will get an opportunity to see the rare tree-climbing lions lounging on fig tree branches. Enjoy lunch en route and arrive in the park in the evening; check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters to be briefed about Uganda gorilla trekking before heading into the verdant forest led by the rangers. The trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night.
Spend one hour in the presence of the gorillas watching them play, feed and groom each other. Trek back to the starting point, where you will be rewarded with a gorilla trekking certificate. Return to your lodge and spend the evening at rest, with dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Transfer to Kampala
After a delicious breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on a journey back to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
