Detailed itinerary of 8 days Magic of Kenya Safari
Day 1: arrival
Arrival in Nairobi city for your 7 days Magic of Kenya safari, you be met by your safari-driver guide at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Nairobi, if you arrive in time you will have a short city tour visiting the Kenya national museum, the snake park and many more sites in the city. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Nairobi to Maasai Mara national reserve
Leave your hotel after breakfast and set off on a drive to Maasai Mara national reserve, on your way you will enjoy the vast panorama of the Great Rift Valley unfolding with stopovers for excellent photography opportunities. Arrive in the reserve in time for lunch, check into your lodge/campsite, have lunch and in the afternoon you will go for a game drive enjoying various animals such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, elands, hartebeests, warthogs and many more in the endless plains of the reserve.
In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight at Miti Mingi Eco Camp.
Day 3: Maasai Mara full day
Have breakfast then head to the reserve for a full day of game viewing together with your packed lunch, since you are to spend in this full day in Maasai Mara national reserve you will have ample time to explore the reserve and watch many animals such as zebras, giraffes, antelopes, hyenas, wildebeests, hartebeests, the big five (elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffaloes) and over 350 bird species. Your lunch will be set in the wilderness of reserve among the beautiful picnic sites along the Mara River, return to your camp, have dinner and stay overnight at Miti Mingi Eco Camp.
Day 4: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Have early morning game drive before breakfast enjoy sights of predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and after breakfast you will depart the Maasai Mara national reserve for Lake Nakuru national a famous destination for pink flamingoes and others animals. Lake Nakuru national park is a home to a wide variety of game such as waterbucks, impalas, gazelles, buffaloes, white and black rhinos. You are to arrive in the park in time for lunch which you will enjoy after checking into your lodge, go for a game drive exploring the park and enjoy watching many animals. Return to your lodge/hotel have dinner and stay overnight at Nakuru City Max Hotel.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast at your hotel/lodge you will go for an en-route game drive enjoying a huge population of pink flamingoes and other birds on the shores of Lake Nakuru as you depart for Lake Naivasha, Lake Naivasha is another great ornithological spectacle in the world and Kenya as well with many pink flamingoes. After lunch you will head to the lake for a boat ride enjoying many hippos and birds. Have dinner and stay overnight at Taphe Hotel.
Day 6: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli national park
After breakfast you will depart to Amboseli national park one of the most scenic destinations in Kenya with spectacular scenery created by the Mount Kilimanjaro the highest in Africa dominating the landscape of the park. Amboseli national park is known for the largest population of elephants with the biggest tusks in Kenya, you will have en-route lunch and on your arrival you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight at Amboseli Junctions Lodge.
Day 7: Amboseli full day
Have early breakfast and head to the park for morning and late evening game drives, on the game drives you will enjoy watching many animals living in the savannah plains of the park such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, antelopes, elephants, gazelles, giraffes, hippos and many more. At lunch you will head back to your lodge and rest for a while and in the late evening you will go for another game drive, later return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight at Amboseli Junctions Lodge.
Day 8: Amboseli to Nairobi
Have early morning game drive before breakfast enjoying many early risers such as lions, African wild dogs, hyenas, leopards and many more. Return to your lodge for breakfast, checkout and embark on a journey back to Nairobi for drop off either at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
