Detailed itinerary
Day 1; pick up and drive to Serengeti national park
- Pick up at the airport will be by your guide who will welcome you and you will have a short briefing about your safari. You will continue your drive to Serengeti national park which is known for being a destination of seeing the big five in its endless plains.
- You will check in at your lodge for lunch before your evening game drive to search for wildlife species such as leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, elands, buffalos, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, among others as well as a variety of bird species such as eagles, vultures. You will return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at your lodge as you enjoy watching the sunset over the wilderness of the national park.
Day 2; full day in Serengeti national park
- Wake up for breakfast at your lodge before your morning game drive on the second day of your safari as you drive through the savannah plains of Serengeti national park in search of different wildlife species such as elephants, buffalos, rhinos, leopards, lions as well as hippos, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, cheetahs, giraffes among others.
- You will also visit the retina hippo pool which is a pool filled with many hippos swimming and lazing around. Other attractions to look out for during game drives in Serengeti national park include the kopjes where predators can be seen resting as they look out for their prey. You will return to your lodge for lunch and to relax.
- You will have an evening game drive to see more wildlife species and to enjoy the sunset before proceeding to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night as the day before.
Day 3; transfer to Masai Mara national reserve
- You will have your breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park ahead of your transfer to Masai Mara national reserve through the Isebania border where you will clear with customs and then proceed to cross to Kenya.
- You will have an en route game drive on your way to your lodge as you enjoy seeing the different attractions around the wilderness of the national reserve such as the wildlife species as they graze around such as wildebeests, giraffes, elephants, zebras, antelopes, cheetahs, lions, leopards, reedbucks, rhinos among others. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge after check in.
Day 4; full day in Masai Mara national reserve
- You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge and after your breakfast, your guide will drive you around the Masai Mara national reserve on a morning game drive experience to look out for wildlife and bird species and also enjoying the beautiful scenery around you.
- Lunch will be served at your lodge after your morning game drive and you will later have another game drive as you enjoy the sunset and look out for wildlife species such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, wildebeests, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras, antelopes, kudus, gazelles, among others. You will be driven back to your lodge after your evening game drive and you will have your dinner and also spend the night.
Day 5; drive to Amboseli national park
- You will have breakfast and then check out of your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve and after this you will have a morning game viewing experience in the reserve to see the wildlife species which are active during the morning and can easily be seen as you continue your drive to Amboseli national park.
- You will have a stop in Nairobi for lunch and later you will continue your journey to Amboseli national park where you will check in at your lodge. You will have an evening guided nature walk to have a close experience with your surroundings in the national park and to enjoy views of the snowcapped Mt Kilimanjaro. You will return to your lodge after your nature walk to have your dinner and overnight in the comfort of you lodge.
Day 6; full day in Amboseli national park
- Your wildlife viewing experience in Amboseli national park will begin with breakfast at your lodge and then you will proceed for a morning game viewing experience and to enjoy photography in the savannah plains of the national park which is home to herds of elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, antelopes, lions, leopards among others as well as different bird species.
- You will return to your lodge for lunch and later in the evening, you will have another game viewing experience to search for wildlife species and to enjoy the sunset after which you will be driven back to your lodge for your dinner and to spend the night at your lodge.
Day 7; drive to Lake Nakuru national park
- drive to Lake Nakuru national park: You will have breakfast at your lodge before checking out of your lodge in Amboseli national park and continuing your journey to Lake Nakuru national park with an en route game drive as you watch different wildlife species.
- You will enjoy views of the rift valley escarpment on your way to the national park where you will check in and have your lunch. After lunch, you will have a game drive to see the beautiful Lake Nakuru which is known for having many flamingos along its shores as well as other bird species. You will also see wildlife species during your evening game drive such as black rhinos, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, zebras, waterbucks, hippos among others. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge after your evening game drive.
Day 8; departure
- departure: You will have breakfast on the last day of your 8 days Tanzania and Kenya Wildlife safari and then continue for your morning game drive in Lake Nakuru national park during which you will see different wildlife and bird species. Your guide will drive you to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at your preferred location which will be the end of your safari.
