DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be picked up by your guide from the airport or hotel within Nairobi city by 7:30 – 8:00 am, brief you about your 8 days Masai Mara, Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro safari. You will then set off on your drive to Masai Mara National Reserve with a stopover in Narok town one of the best stopovers for tourists heading to Masai Mara. This is about 2 hours’ drive from Nairobi city. While at Narok cultural town, you will experience the Maasai culture and get to know more about the culture as you visit the craft shops and interact with the locals.
After your experience in Narok town, you will continue your journey to the Rift valley and Escarpment viewing points for photo taking and finally proceed with your journey to Masai Mara National Reserve where you will arrive in late afternoon for a breathtaking game drive till the sun goes down. Look out for wildlife species such as Wildebeests, Zebras, Elands, buffalos, antelopes, waterbucks, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and buffalos and many more as they graze and roam around the savannah plains. You will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full day adventure in Masai Mara National Reserve
After having breakfast at your lodge on the 2nd day of your 8 days Masai Mara, Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro safari, you will prepare for a full day game drive in Masai Mara national reserve where you will see a variety of wildlife species which are very active and can be easily seen at this time of day such as wildebeests, zebras, elephants, antelopes, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards among others.
You will have lunch at your lodge after the morning game drive in case you don’t wish to have a picnic lunch and later on after lunch, you will have another game drive as you look for other wildlife and bird species that thrill with in Masai Mara National Reserve.
Day 3: Transfer from Masai Mara National Reserve to Namanga Border
After breakfast on day 3 of 8 days Masai Mara, Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro safari, enjoy an early game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve then embark on a journey to Namanga border point which is one of the border crossing point between Kenya and Tanzania. You will then be cleared to obtain the Tanzania visa as you cross over into Namanga town for dinner and overnight rest awaiting to enjoy the remaining part of your safari in Tanzania. The journey from Masai Mara to Namanga border takes about 4 hours’ drive.
Day 4: Transfer from Namanga to Lake Manyara National Park
Arise and shine on day 4 of 8 days Masai Mara, Lake Manyara, and Serengeti & Ngorongoro safari, have breakfast and check out of your lodge to start on a journey from Namanga for a 3-4 hours’ drive to Lake Manyara national park, a home to tree climbing lions. Upon park arrival, you will have your lunch served and proceed with an evening game drive to explore different parts of the national park as you search for the tree-climbing lions known for being spotted in the trees as well as other wildlife species grazing in the plains such as leopards, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, kudus, elephants, buffalos among others. You will be driven to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Morning game drive and transfer to Serengeti national park
On the 5th day of your 8 days Masai Mara, Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro safari, you will enjoy your early morning breakfast at your lodge, you will then check out and enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara national park to see wildlife species which are active in the morning and easier to spot. You will continue your drive to Serengeti national park where you will check-in at your lodge for your lunch. After lunch, you will have a visit to the retina hippo pool to watch the hippos swimming in the pool in many numbers. You will also have a guided nature walk to get a close encounter with your surroundings in Serengeti national park as you enjoy the sunset. Your guide will drive you back to your lodge where you will have your dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Full day in Serengeti national park
You will start your day 6 of the safari with breakfast at your lodge before heading out for your morning game viewing experience in Serengeti national park to explore the Seronera area which is known for big numbers of predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs that hunt prey like wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, giraffes, buffalos, waterbucks, kudus, hartebeests among others. Lunch will be served at your lodge after your morning game viewing experience.
You will have another game drive in the evening to look out for other wildlife species as you drive through the different tracks in the open savannah plains of Serengeti national park. You will see the different kopjes in the national park where lions sit and watch their prey and these kopjes include the Masai kopjes, Moru kopjes, Simba kopjes. You will return to your lodge after your game drive for your dinner and to spend the night in the comfort of your lodge. You will surely explore this magnificent park.
Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
Have an early morning game drive in Serengeti national park on the 7th day of your safari after which you will return to the lodge for breakfast before embarking on your journey to Ngorongoro Crater with an enroute picnic lunch. Upon arrival, you will proceed to check in your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep awaiting to explore the world’s largest caldera the next day. The entire journey from Serengeti national park to Ngorongoro Crater takes about 4 hours’ drive.
8: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater and transfer to Arusha
Explore the crater and drive to Arusha: After enjoying your breakfast on the last day of your 10 days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara wildlife safari, you be driven into the Ngorongoro crater where you will enjoy a breath taking game drive viewing several wildlife species. Have your picnic lunch and later on ascend from the caldera and set off on a 4 hours’ drive journey back to Arusha for a hotel drop off.

- In case you have a morning flight the next day, you will be dropped off at the airport
- In case you need to return to Nairobi city, you will take a morning shuttle bus the next day from Arusha to Nairobi. Morning shuttle sets off from Arusha at 9:00am.
