Detailed itinerary of 8 Days Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Safari
Day 1: Drive From Nairobi – Masai Mara
Early morning after breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi or upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and start on your journey to Masai Mara with brief stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to take in the picturesque sight of the rift valley escarpments.
Proceed to Masai Mara via Narok Town for lunch, arrive in the reserve around lunch and head to the Mara Triangle where you will check in at your lodge for lunch and refreshment. Later proceed for your first game drive in the famous Mara Triangle for sights of the migrating wildebeests and the Big Five. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2-3: Following the Migration
These two days are sent aside for full day game drives in Masai Mara National Reserve plus its private conservancies in search and following the Great Migration as it takes place in the endless plains of Mara.
After an early breakfast, you will head to the reserve with your packed lunch boxes for a full day of exploring this iconic African safari destination. You will explore the northern part of the reserve where Mara River – the crossing point for the wildebeests forming the border of Masai Mara and Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.
Here you will watch thousands of wildebeests in large columns in their search for green pastures and water in the Mara – Serengeti ecosystem. You will also find a great concentration of animals including lions, cheetahs, African wild dogs and leopards always seen following the migrating herds. Other animals to lookout for include giraffes, gazelles, zebras among others making for a wonderful day of exploring in Masai Mara.
You will enjoy picnic lunch and continue following the migrating herds.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Wake up for breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park with border crossing at Isebania Border, after clearing with the immigration authorities you will continue to Serengeti National Park with en-route lunch.
When you arrive in the park, you will continue to your lodge with en-route gam drive in the endless plains of Serengeti. Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5-6: Full Day Serengeti
Spend these two days of your safari exploring Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast at your lodge, you will head out with your packed lunch for a full day Serengeti National Park Safari Experience. Engage in morning and after game drives around the park and lookout out for wildebeest herds in the savannah plains, other animals to lookout for include lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, African wild dogs, gazelles, zebras and elands among others.
You will enjoy picnic lunch and continue exploring the park. Later in the evening you will return to your lodge for diner and overnight stay as above.

Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Crater Rim Walk
Enjoy your mouthwatering breakfast, then proceed for a transfer out of Serengeti National Park with en-route game drive and en-route lunch. When you arrive in Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will embark on a guided walking safari on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater – the largest intact caldera in the world and one of World’s 8 Wonders. Come up-close with nature as well as wildlife and thereafter proceed for a transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Masai Bomas
Have early breakfast and proceed to descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a half day’s safari tour. Supported by year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.
You will also visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually have been seen here. Thereafter, you shall drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 8: Departure with En-route Tarangire Park Game Drive
After breakfast at the lodge, you will proceed to transfer to Arusha with your packed lunch and en-route game drive in Tarangire National Park for a half day game drive.
Tarangire National Park is a famous Tanzania Wildlife Safari Destination well known for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees among other attractions. After your picnic lunch, you will proceed to Arusha city. You will be dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight or hotel of stay in Arusha bringing your safari to an end.
