Detailed itinerary of 8 Days Kenya and Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Pick up, Transfer to Amboseli national park
To start your safari, you will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi by our guide, he will brief you about the safari and transfer to Amboseli national park on a journey of approximately 4-5 hours. You will arrive in the park in time for lunch at your lodge after checking, after lunch you will go for an afternoon game drive in the plains of Amboseli national park.
As you drive through the park you will get to spot a number of animals such as African elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, Burchell’s zebra and many more. Animals in Amboseli National Park are best spotted at the observation hill.
Turn to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive in Amboseli national park, Walking Safari
After morning breakfast, you will head to the park for a full day of exploring the park on a morning game drive and walking safari. On this day, you will wake up as early as possible and go for an early morning game drive which is a great chance to view many animals such as African elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, Burchell’s zebra before they disperse in the park due to sunrise.
After morning game drive, you will return to your lodge for relaxation as you wait for lunch and in afternoon you will head out for a guided walking safari in the park. Guided walking safaris offer an opportunity to get close with nature and the wildlife and an opportunity to take as many pictures. In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Masai Mara national reserve
After morning breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and embark on a journey to Masai Mara national reserve on a distance of 517 kilometers which is a drive of approximately 8-9 hours, on your way you will have a stopover in Narok Town for lunch then proceed to the park arriving in evening, check into your lodge and stay overnight.

Day 4: Hot Air Balloon Ride, Game Drive
Wake up early for a hot air balloon ride over the endless plains of Masai plains, during the drive to the landing site lookout for various wildlife including the big 5 animals. As you fly over Masai Mara you will enjoy the Magical sunrise and amazing aerial views of the savannah plains dotted with acacia trees and many animals. The climax of the experience is the champagne breakfast in the wilderness of Masai Mara national reserve.
Then you will go for a game drive exploring the reserve more, in the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
Have very early breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive out through the Oloololo gate in the western part the reserve heading to the Isebania border, you will clear with the border customs office and proceed to Serengeti national park where you will en-route game drive as you head to your lodge. Check in, relax, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Have early breakfast and head to the plains of Serengeti national park for a full day game drive with lunch boxes for a picnic lunch along the Seronera area.
During the game drive you will enjoy the big game in the plains of Serengeti and around Seronera River such as lions, thonson gazelles, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles, topis, ostriches, elephants among others.
You will have picnic lunch and then go for another game drive exploring the park more and spotting more animals. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Crater Rim Walk
After breakfast, you go for en-route game drive as you exit the park heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, along the way you will have lunch and when you arrive in Ngorongoro crater, you will go for a guided walk safari around the rim of the crater enjoying magnificent views of the crater and animals. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Drive, Departure
After breakfast, you will descend to the crater floor for a morning game drive, the crater floor supports a vast variety of animals such as wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. and a dense population of predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, African wild dogs, hyenas and jackals. You will also visit Lake Magadi – a large but shallow alkaline lake in the south western corner of the crater, the lake hosts a large number of flamingoes, hippos and other water birds.
You will then exit the crater and embark on a journey back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
