Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

Depending on your location in Kampala/Entebbe, you will meet your safari guide and transfer to Bwindi national park. The park is located in the south-western part of the country, it’s a 8-9 hours’ drive with en routes at the Uganda Equator where you will be able to take photographs and visit the craft shop, proceed with lunch en route. On arrival to the park area, you will proceed and check in your lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget/Buhoma Haven lodge for mid-range/Mahogany Springs Lodge for luxury

 Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience – Batwa community tour

Have breakfast and transfer you to park offices for briefing about Mountain Gorilla trekking by a local guide. The time taken is usually between 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Meeting the gorillas unexpectedly is one of the most captivating lifetime experiences. You will have a chance to observe and take pictures at very close range. You will observe adults feeding and groaning among themselves. After an hour with the long-awaited gorillas, your guide and rangers will lead you back to the starting point where your driver will readily be waiting for you.

After trekking, go for a community/cultural tour of the Batwa people. Dinner and overnight stay as lodge above

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national parkboat cruise on Kazinga channel

After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. This is about 4-5 hours. Upon arrival with en-route lunch, connect for a boat cruise along Kazinga channel where you will get an opportunity to see a number of bird species, elephants and buffaloes, hippos and crocodiles. The Kazinga channel is known to have the highest concentration of hippos. Retreat from the boat trip and transfer to Kibale national park, which is about 3 hours’ drive. Upon arrival, check-in at your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Elephant Hub Lodge for mid-range/ Kazinga Wilderness Camp for budget/Elephant Plains Lodge for luxury

Day 4: Lion tracking/Game Drive and transfer to Kibale national park

Go for an early morning game drive and lion tracking in Queen Elizabeth national park where you will spot a lot of wildlife including African elephants, Lions, buffalos, antelopes, impala, among others and a lot of birds and a good day the leopards. Thereafter, with en-route lunch, proceed to transfer to Kibale forest national park. Upon arrival, connect to your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Forest Lodge for budget/Chimpanze Forest Lodge for mid-range/Chimpundu Lodge for luxury

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking activity and Bigodi nature walk

After breakfast, drive to Kibale park head offices for briefing about the chimpanzees. Enter the forest and start trek the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, its take 2-5 hours to find them and on finding them, you are allowed 1 hour to be in their process as they swing from the branches in the canopy high above the forest floor. Return to the lodge for hot lunch.

Later afternoon, explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The reserve is abundant with butterflies, plants, animals and, in particular, birds. Spectacular birds like Great Blue Turaco and rare Papyrus Gonolek will be of great interest to birders. The swamp is also home to more elusive animals such as Red Colobus monkeys and Sitatunga antelope. There is also the opportunity to visit local community projects that have been financed by tourism. Day 6: Transfer to Jinja via Kampala

Early morning, you will have breakfast before embarking on a journey to Jinja – home to the source of River Nile and former industrial town. It will take about 7-8 hours’ drive with en route lunch, countryside of tea and sugar plantations and forests. Upon arrival late afternoon, connect to your booked lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight stay at Nile Front Cottages for budget/2 Friends Guesthouse for mid-range/Jinja Nile Resort for luxury 

Day 7: White water rafting and source of the Nile visit

After breakfast, meet your driver and connect for water rafting experience on the Nile. Have lunch then connect to the source of the Nile and take a boat ride to the true source where water babbles like a fountain! Enjoy a sun-downer boat cruise on the mighty River Nile/Lake Victoria and enjoy the Golden views as rays of the setting sun hit the gentle waves of the River. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 8: Drive to Entebbe – Departure

You will have breakfast and transfer to Kampala/Entebbe, which is about 3 hours’ drive. Upon arrival, the driver will either drop you off at a location you advise or at Entebbe international airport for your onward flight back home.
