This 8 Days Uganda Savannah parks and gorilla trekking Tour takes you to Murchison Falls where you will enjoy game viewing drives, a hike to the top of the falls and a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. After proceeding to Queen Elizabeth National Park for more game sightings and a boat ride on the amazing Kazinga channel. The last leg of the safari takes you to the Bwindi impenetrable Forest national park through the Ishasha sector where you will see the tree-climbing lions. Finish your safari at Lake Mburo national park for animals like Zebra, Impalas that you will have missed in the other savannah national parks. The last activity on the trip will be Gorilla Tracking where you will see the Endangered Mountain Gorillas.

Detailed safari
Day 1: Pick up and transfer for Murchison Falls National Park – Ziwa rhino sanctuary
Depending on your location in Kampala, you will meet your driver guides and depart to connect to Murchison falls national park. It’s a 5 hours’ drive with en route lunch, en-route ziwa rhino trekking sanctuary for rhino trekking. Proceed to enter Kichwabanyobo gate and proceed to the top of the falls. Dinner and overnight at Pakuba safari lodge/Tilenga Safari Lodge (Mid-range)/Hornbill Safari lodge (Budget)
Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise
After breakfast, embark on a game drive at the delta area where you will find most of the animals. Murchison falls National Park is the only park where you will be able to see most of the animals in the park. This will take about 2-3 hours depending on availability of the animals including Elephants, Rothschild giraffes, Buffaloes, Lions, Hartebeest, Uganda Kobs, Oribis and waterbucks.
Thereafter return to the lodge for lunch and later at 2 pm, you will set off for the boat cruise on along the Nile which will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the riverbanks like kingfisher, cormorants and bee-eater, drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Enjoy an African cup of coffee and by 7 am, check-out to transfer you to Queen Elizabeth national park. This is quite a long drive with en-route stops to refresh with great views of the local homesteads, green countryside and local farms along the Albertine Rift escarpment. The journey takes 7-8 hours drive with lunch stop in Fort portal town. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park and check-in at your booked lodge for check-in, relaxation, sinner and overnight stay at Elephant Hub Lodge for mid-range/Bush Lodge for budget

Day 4: Morning game drive – Kasenyi and boat cruise along the Kazinga channel
After breakfast early in the morning, connect for morning game drive in the Kasenyi area to find the early risers and any missed animals. You have an option either after the game drive or before to do a lion tracking experience. This is an off track activity that allows you to get meet lions at a close range at an extra cost. After game viewing, drive back to your lodge for lunch break.
By 2 pm, report to the starting point for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. It’s about 2-3 hours’ experience. The cruise is one of the best activities to do in this park. You will encounter different animals and birds such as the elephants and buffalos, hippos and crocodiles at the lake shores. Drive to check-in your lodge, dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
After breakfast, drive out of the park to connect to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park (home of Uganda Mountain Gorillas) with en-route game drive in Ishasha sector for chances od spotting the tree climbing lions and en-=route lunch. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Haven lodge for mid-range/Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget
Day 6: Gorilla trekking experience – Batwa community tour
On the 6th day of your 8 Days Uganda Savannah parks and gorilla trekking Tour, wake up early, have breakfast and connect to the forest with your packed food and water. The briefing from the park warden about the gorillas starts at 8 am where your will be guided on highlights about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from 2-8 hours. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away. Return to the lodge to unwind. Later afternoon, visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience of the Batwa people and their way of life. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park (5 hours’ drive) – evening gam drive – optional walking safari or boat trip on Lake Mburo
On the 7th day of your 8 Days Uganda Savannah parks and gorilla trekking Tour, After breakfast, embark on your journey to Lake Mburo national park arriving at good time for lunch. After lunch at the lodge, choose between a boat trip or a walking safaris, this is similar to a game drive except that you will be viewing wildlife on foot, encounter animals like the Zebras, impalas, giraffes to mention a few, while returning to the lodge with en-route evening game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Eagles Nest lodge for budget/ Arcadia Cottages for mid-range
Day 8: Transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast, head out for a game drive in search for the early risers on a good day you may spot the lions and the leopards. Other animals to find include; Giraffes, Zebras, Impalas, waterbucks, Buffaloes, warthogs, just to mention a few. After the game drive, drive back to Kampala/Entebbe. It’s a 4-5 hours’ drive with en-route lunch and stop at the Uganda Equator. Proceed to Kampala/Entebbe and you will be dropped off at allocation you advise or at Entebbe airport for your evening flight back home. End of the tour
