7 Days Masai Mara and Serengeti safari is a trip to Serengeti national park in the northern part of Tanzania and Masai Mara national reserve and Lake Nakuru national park in Kenya and you will engage in game drives at different times of day as you explore the national parks and see different bird and wildlife species, visiting the local community in Narok town to interact with the Maasai people known for their nomadic way of life and unique culture, starting in Nairobi and ending in Arusha as seen in the itinerary below;

Detailed itinerary;
Day 1; pick up and drive to Lake Nakuru national park
You will be picked up by your guide from the airport in Nairobi and you will be briefed about your safari. You will continue your drive to Lake Nakuru national park with a stop in Narok town where you will experience the Maasai culture and get to know more about the culture as you visit the craft shops and interact with the locals.
After your experience in Narok town, you will continue your journey to the national park where you will check in and have your lunch. You will also have an afternoon game drive to experience the wilderness and beautiful scenery as you search for wildlife species such as rhinos, buffalos, antelopes, waterbucks, giraffes among others. You will also enjoy seeing flamingos along the shores of Lake Nakuru among others. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Nakuru lodge.
Day 2; drive to Masai Mara national reserve
After having breakfast at your lodge in Lake Nakuru national park, you will check out of the lodge and continue your journey to Masai Mara national reserve where you will enjoy searching for the big five such as elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and buffalos.
You will have lunch at your lodge after you have checked in and settled in. You will have an afternoon game drive to search for more wildlife species in the reserve as they graze and roam around the savannah plains. You will return to your lodge as you watch the sunset and dinner and overnight will be at Mara Serena lodge.
Day 3; morning and afternoon game drives in Masai Mara national reserve
After having breakfast at your lodge on the 3rd day of your safari, you will prepare for a morning game drive in Masai Mara national reserve where you will see a variety of wildlife species which are very active and can be easily seen at this time of day such as wildebeests, zebras, elephants, antelopes, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards among others.
You will have lunch at your lodge after the morning game drive and later you will have another game drive as you look for other wildlife and bird species at the destination. Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Serena lodge.
Day 4; drive to Serengeti national park
You will have breakfast at your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve and after this you will check out of your lodge and continue your journey to your next destination which is Serengeti national park. You will be driven to the Kenya – Tanzania border where you will clear with customs and then drive to your lodge where you will check in and prepare to have dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena lodge.
Day 5-6; morning and afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park
You will start your day with breakfast and then your guide will drive you for your morning game viewing experience in Serengeti national park during which you will see various wildlife species which include elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, antelopes, impalas, elands among others.
You will visit the retina hippo pool after returning to your lodge for lunch as you prepare to have an afternoon game drive as you enjoy the open savannah plains and kopjes where you will see lions as they observe their prey. You will enjoy driving around the national park as you look for wildlife species and watch the sunset on the way to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena lodge.
Day 7; Departure
On the last day of your safari, you will have breakfast before checking out of your lodge and continuing your journey to Arusha with an en route game drive in Serengeti national park as you enjoy seeing different wildlife species grazing around the national park plains such as lions, hyenas, warthogs, antelopes, wildebeests, giraffes, antelopes, elands, dik dik, kudu, elephants, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, waterbucks, hartebeests, jackals and many bird species.
Your guide will drive you to Arusha where you will be dropped off at a location of your preference or at the airport which will mark the end of your safari.
