Baggage restrictions and additonal information
Flights to Serengeti national park are operated by small aircrafts such as Cessna Grand Caravan or Beechcraft 1900, because of the small size of these aircrafts strict baggage restrictions are in place.
You may carry 15 kgs per person in a soft duffel-type bag, this includes hand luggage and camera equipment. These limitations are strictly adhered to by every passenger.
Flights to Serengeti national park are operated as shuttle services so they should not be considered as scheduled flights, departure times and routings for these flights vary depending on requirements of travelers and the local weather conditions.
It is possible that multiple stops are made en-route to your destination airstrip.

The Kogatenede (KOG) airstrip is located in the northern Mara sector of the Serengeti national park allowing access to several lodges including Singita Mara River Tented Camp, Lemala Kuria Hills, Serengeti Bushtops, Nomad Lamai and Kimondo Migration Camp.
Transfer to and from the Kogatende airstrip are usually included if you are staying at any of the above lodges and note that additional fees may apply. During the peak season, more flight options are available.
