Detailed Itinerary of 7Days Magical Uganda Safari
Day 1 – Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (Rhino Tracking) to Murchison
Falls National Park (Visit to Top of Falls)
To mark the start of your Uganda safari, you will be picked up by our guide at the hotel in Kampala or at Entebbe International Airport upon arrival and start the day’s adventure with a journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way you will make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where rhinos are being reintroduced to the wild in Uganda so that you can have a complete feel of the African Big Five mammals, as it is the Rhino missing out of the Big Five in Murchison Falls National Park.
Enjoy lunch at the sanctuary, then continue with the journey to Murchison Falls. Upon arrival, you will drive to the top of the Falls. Here, you will be amazed by the beautiful landscape while occassionaly sighting warthogs and other wildlife.
About 300 cubic meters per second of Nile water force through a tiny gorge of about 7 meters to plunge into a violent tempest in a whirlpool about 42 meters below. It is such as a beautiful sight with incredible picture moments here.

Day 2 – Murchison Falls National Park (Game Drives and Boat Ride)
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park for an early game drive. Explore the major game trails especially in the northern bank for good game spotting including lots of elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, jackals, hyenas, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeests and the elusive leopards among others.
Later on, enjoy lunch and some relaxation for a short time. Later set out for an afternoon boat ride on the Victoria Nile which is the highlight of any Murchison Falls Safari for you get to spot lots of animals at a closer encounter. You will also spot lots of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and many other animals that come to drink water, refresh and cool themselves off the scorching sun and some animals to eat the fresh grass along the river banks.

Day 3 – Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale National Park
After a delicious breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Park, – the world’s capital of primates including a huge population of chimpanzees and other 12 species of primates.
Have en-route lunch along the way. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – Kibale National Park (Chimp Tracking) to Ishasha sector
After breakfast, join other visitors at the park headquarters for briefing and then go for the most popular activity in Kibale Forest which is chimpanzee tracking. Chimpanzees are man’s closest cousins, although they are one of the most threatened primate species. more primates you will see include Colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, Grey cheeked Mangabey, Red-tailed monkeys among others.
Later return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National park where you will see several wildlife species enroute as you transfer to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Ishasha sector (Game drive) to Bwindi National Park
Early morning game drive in the Ishasha Sector to see the tree climbing lions if you are lucky and then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to the largest population of mountain gorillas, almost half of the world remaining population, including 20 habituated gorilla groups. Enjoy lunch enroute, arrive in the park in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Gorilla Trekking) to Lake
Bunyonyi

Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch, you will join other trekkers for briefing about gorilla trekking and the right way to behave while in the presence of the gorillas.
In groups of 8 people you will head into the forest with your ranger guides searching for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 2 to 5 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. Once you locate the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend only one hour in their presence, watch them groom, feed and care for each other.
Trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. In the evening you can go for canoeing ride, boat ride or cycling. Have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 – Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, check out of your lodge and embark on a journey to Entebbe where you will be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight back home or to your next destination.
