Detailed itinerary of 6 Days Explore Uganda Safari
Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park
Your Uganda safari starts with pick up from Entebbe International Airport upon arrival or after breakfast at your hotel in Kampala. Your driver-guide will brief you about the safari and embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park with a drive through the famous Luwero Triangle. Have a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a chance to track rhinos on foot.
Have lunch in Masindi and continue to Murchison Falls National Park. After entering the park, you will head to the top of the falls where you will see the Nile River squeezing through the narrow gorge of rocks before freely falling to form Murchison Falls – the world’s most powerful falls. Continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
Your day starts with a cup of coffee and head to the park for a game drive offering you an opportunity to spot various animals such as Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and leopards if you are lucky.
Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, return to the park for a boat safari upstream – the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the fall stopping just tens of meters from the Devil’s Cauldron. Along the cruise, you will marvel at crocodiles, hippos, elephants, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks among others, as well as many water birds like pelican bee-eater, Egyptian goose among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Kibale Forest National Park
Today we journey to Kibale Forest National Park via Hoima to Fort Portal through the verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and plantations along the libertine Rift Escarpments.
Enjoy lunch in Fort Portal and continue to the park arriving in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up early for breakfast and head to Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking. You will join other visitors at the park headquarters for briefing, then head into the forest looking for chimpanzees. The trek takes approximately 2 to 5 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night, spend one hour in their presence watching them go on with their life in the forest.
Trek back to the starting point and return to your lodge for lunch, later check out and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, you will embark on a game drive as you head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy breakfast and head to the park’s Kasenyi plains for a morning game drive where you will encounter various animals such as elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, warthogs, Uganda kobs and a variety of birds.
Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel where you will see herds of elephants and buffaloes along the banks of the channel, hippos and crocodiles and several water bird species.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kampala/Entebbe
Filled with everlasting memories from your days on safari, enjoy breakfast and head to Kyambura Gorge for a primate walk to look for habituated chimpanzees in the gorge. Later exit the park and embark a journey back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and a visit to the Igongo Cultural Village.
Have another stopover in Kayabwe for pictures and a chance to stand in both southern and northern Hemispheres at once. When you arrive in Kampala, you will be dropped off either at the airport or at the hotel.
