DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park for afternoon boat cruise and game drive
Drive from Kampala to Lake Mburo national park: In the morning on day 1 of 4 days Bwindi and Lake Mburo safari, you will be met by our company representative who will introduce you as your Uganda safari driver as he pick you up from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe and start the 4 hours road drive heading to western part of Uganda via Kampala – Masaka road and join to Masaka – Mbarara road where you will find lake mburo national park just along the high way. Along the way, you will stopover at the Equator to enjoy a photo taking session as this has always been a stopover for almost all tourist heading to western part of Uganda. Upon park arrival, you will proceed direct to check in your reserved lodge and freshen up for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise: After lunch, you will head out for a boat cruise along one of the lakes situated inside Lake Mburo national park. This is one of the most enjoyed tourist activity by several travelers as they cruise along the lake in the afternoon. The lake attracts several wildlife during the afternoon as they always visit in search of drinking water to quench their thirst over hot scotching sun. keep your eyes along the shores of the lake and you will possibly enjoy the clear view of several mammals including zebras, buffaloes, Hippos, antelopes, Ankole cattle, Uganda kob and several birds such as Cormorants, King fishers and many other aquatic wildlife that will make your boat cruise a memorable one.
Once you are done with the boat cruise, meet your safari driver for an evening game drive that will take you closer to grazing mammals and move on till late evening for a golden opportunity of encountering with the nocturnal mammals returning from their hiding places to start their active night. Drive back to your lodge for dinner and grab an overnight rest.

Day 2: Walking safari and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
Walking safari: On day 2 of 4 days Bwindi and Lake Mburo safari, arise in the morning for an early breakfast at your lodge then embark on a walking safari via various trails amidst security of armed rangers and local guides. Lake Mburo national park is known for having the best walking safaris that leads to several attractions such as caves, water bodies and many more while sighting a lot of wildlife along the trails. In case you are not in for a walking safari then substitute it with either morning game drive/ horseback ride/ biking for fun filled adventure in Lake Mburo national park.
Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park: After enjoying any of the mentioned activities, return to your lodge, freshen up, check out and meet your Uganda safari driver to start a 6-7 hours road drive from Lake Mburo national park to Bwindi impenetrable national park at the extreme south western corner of Uganda the pearl of Africa. Along the journey, you will stop in Mbarara city for an enroute lunch at Igongo cultural hotel then embark on Mbarara- Kabale road via stunning farmlands in Ntungamo till you start approaching the rolling hills of Kigezi region then drive for more kilometers to the home of endangered mountain gorillas. Expect to arrive late in the evening for hotel check in, have dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi: After breakfast on day 3 of 4 days Bwindi and Lake Mburo safari, depending on the sector you intend to trek in, you will pack enough drinking water, lunch box and wear your best gorilla trekking attire to be transferred for a pre gorilla trekking briefing where you will getting to know about the dos and don’ts while in the habitat of endangered mountain gorillas. After briefing, hire a porter and start the adventure of searching for the habituated mountain gorilla family via various trails until you finally find the allocated gorilla family. The entire trek lasts about 30 minutes to 8 hours or even a full day depending on the movement of gorillas, the trekking speed in favor of the slowest person in the group, and many other factors. However, after finding the gorilla family, you have one hour in close vicinity of Gorillas taking photographs and watching the gorillas as they go by with their daily activities including feeding, playing, copulating, breastfeeding among others. Then trek back to the starting point to meet your driver and be returned to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Drive back to Kampala for departures.
Return to Kampala for departures: Upon finishing breakfast on day 4 of 4 days Bwindi and Lake Mburo safari, check out of the lodge and meet your safari driver to embark on the road drive from Bwindi Impenetrable national park back to Kampala with an enroute lunch in Mbarara at Igongo cultural hotel. Upon arrival in Kampala, you will be driven direct to Entebbe International Airport to catch a flight back home.
