DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale forest national park
Kampala to Kibale Forest national park: On day 1 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, you will be picked from your location in Kampala/ Entebbe by our company representative who will be your safari driver/ guide throughout this 15 days adventure and mostly the Ugandan part. You will meet & greet and be briefed about your safari as you embark on a drive to Kibale forest national park. Kibale forest national park is one of the best primate destinations in Uganda that harbors over 13 primate species including Chimpanzees. On your way to Kibale Forest National park, you will have an enroute lunch in Mubende and when you arrive at the park in the evening you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi nature walk
Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale and bigodi nature walk: On day 2 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, you will wake up very early for breakfast and then transfer to the park for chimpanzee tracking experience in kibale forest. Before heading on the Chimpanzee tracking, you will undergo a briefing session in which rules and regulations to follow on this experience will be read to you. Then you will head into the forests in search of chimpanzees, as you walk through the forests you will enjoy sights of birds and other primates living in the forests of Kibale. When you find the gorillas you will be amazed by the beautiful chimpanzees playing on top of the trees, picking fruits and many more. After the activity you trek back to the park headquarters then head to your lodge for lunch, in the afternoon you will embark on an afternoon guided walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary one of the best spot for bird watching and botanical in Kibale forest national park. Return to your lodge later on for dinner and overnight sleep as above.

Day 3: Visit Crater lakes and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Kibale forest national park to Queen Elizabeth national park: After enjoying your breakfast early in the morning on day 3 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, check out of the lodge and embark on the journey from Kibale forest national park to Queen Elizabeth national park with an enroute visit to the crater lakes. After exploring the crater lakes, you will enjoy an enroute lunch and proceed with your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park is one of the best savanna parks in the pearl that harbors plenty of wildlife species seen on a game drive and boat cruise. Queen Elizabeth national park harbors largest population of Hippos seen along the Kazinga channel during the boat cruise. Upon park arrival, you will check in your lodge, have dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 4: Lion tracking experience/ Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Queen
Lion Tracking/ Game drive and Boat cruise: Arise and shine on day 4 of your 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, have breakfast and prepare for a morning Lion tracking experience/ morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. While driving in this savanna part of Queen Elizabeth national park, you will spot plenty of fauna and flora species including mammals like Lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes, impala, waterbucks, and many more. After the lion tracking experience/ morning game drive, return to your lodge for lunch and embark on an afternoon Kazinga channel boat cruise to watch Hippos, crocodiles, water birds and many more. Later on, you will be driven straight to your lodge for dinner and night rest as above.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park via Ishasha sector
Queen national park to Bwindi Impenetrable national park: On day 5 of your 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, you will have morning breakfast then checkout of your lodge and set off on a drive from Queen Elizabeth national park to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park boasts with the half remaining population of these endangered mountain gorillas in the world. These endangered mountain gorillas can be viewed in their habituated gorilla families which are distributed in four sectors that is Buhoma sector, Ruhija sector, Nkuringo sector and Rushaga sector.

On your visit you can trek in one of the fifteen habituated Gorilla groups and experience an emotional activity as you get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own great apes “Mountain Gorilla in the Mist” .Bwindi Impenetrable national park is located in south-western side of Uganda and renowned as the top primitive safari destination on African continent. On your way to Bwindi, you will drive through Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park where you can get an opportunity to spot tree climbing lions as they hung on tree branches of acacia and fig trees. You will then enjoy an enroute lunch and finally exit Queen Elizabeth national park for Bwindi impenetrable national park. Expect to arrive late in the evening at the park and proceed to check in your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park: On day 6 of your 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, you will wake up early in the morning and head to the park’s headquarters for registration and briefing experience, once at the park’s headquarters dos and don’ts on this experience will be read to you by a ranger. At the headquarters you will also be assigned a gorilla group to trek and hire a porter to assist you, with your packed lunch you will head into the forests in search for mountain gorillas. Looking for mountain gorilla takes about 2-8 hours and when you find them you are allowed to stay in the presence of mountain gorillas for 1 hour taking pictures and observing the behavior of mountain gorillas. You will also spot many birds and other primates, later you will head back to the park’s headquarters for your trekking certificate then head back to your lodge. You may choose to have an evening Batwa experience or opt to relax at your lodge. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge as above.

Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes national park
Bwindi impenetrable national park to Volcanoes national park: After breakfast on day 7 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, check out of the lodge and meet your safari driver once again for a transfer to Rwanda direct to Volcanoes national park via Cyanika border. Upon park arrival, you will check in your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Golden monkey trekking and visiting the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village
Golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes national park: After an early breakfast on day 8 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, you will be transferred by your safari driver to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about golden monkey trekking together with other travelers that intend to participate in a similar adventure. After briefing, you will then start the journey into the forest to search for the habituated golden monkeys which takes you about 2-3 hours. After spending an hour with golden monkeys, exit the forest and be driven to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later in the evening, head out for another cultural experience but this time round to the Ibyiwacu cultural village where you will be introduced to the stunning tradition dance and drama of the local Rwandese and return to your lodge in time for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 9: Drive back to Kigali for city tour
Volcanoes national park to Kigali city tour: On day 9 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, you will start your day with a heavy breakfast at your lodge then check out and start the road drive from Volcanoes national park direct to Kigali. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will check in your hotel for lunch then spend the afternoon on a Kigali city tour exploring Genocide memorial sites, markets, shops and many more.

Day 10: Flight to Nairobi and city tour
Kigali Rwanda to Nairobi Kenya: Breakfast will be the first thing you will enjoy in the morning on day 10 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari then check out of the lodge and be transferred from your lodge to Kigali international airport for a flight to Jomo Kenyatta international airport Nairobi where you will meet your safari driver that will take you through you safari in Kenya side. You will be briefed about your safari as you drive to the hotel for check in and have a meal. After lunch, you will spend your evening at leisure or enjoy a city tour. There is yet an optional visit to Nairobi national park. You may visit Nairobi National park.

Day 11: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve: After breakfast on day 11 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, you will set off from Nairobi in the morning and embark on a 5-6 hours’ drive heading to Masai Mara National Reserve. During your drive to Masai Mara national reserve, you will enjoy views of the rift valley escarpment as you drive through Kenya’s scenic highlands. You will have a stopover in Narok town to have a cultural experience of the Masai culture as you interact with the local community and get to know their traditions and way of life, watch traditional dance performances, see local art and craft work such as beaded jewelry in different patterns and colors. You will proceed to Masai Mara national reserve where you will see different wildlife species grazing in the nearby savannah plains as you continue your drive to your lodge for check in as you prepare to have your dinner and to spend the night at Sentrim Mara camp/ AA Mara lodge/ Zebra plains Lodge.

Day 12 &13: Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve: You will start your day 12 & 13 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari with breakfast served at your lodge as you prepare to go for your morning game drive in Masai Mara national reserve. During your game drive, you will see a variety of wildlife species such as the predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs as well as other wildlife species like elephants, buffalos, hartebeest, zebras, antelopes as well as wildebeest which are among the spectacular sights at this destination especially during the time of the wildebeest migration as large numbers of wildebeest move around the savannah plains in search of greener pastures. Lunch will be served at your lodge after your morning game drive and this will be followed with another game drive later in the evening to explore more of the wilderness of Masai Mara national reserve which is also known for sightings of the big five which includes elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos. You will return to your lodge where your dinner will be served and you will spend the night in the comfort of your lodge as above at Sentrim Mara Camp/ AA Mara lodge/ Zebra plain lodge.

Day 14: Transfer to Serengeti national park
Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti national park: After breakfast on day 14 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve and after this you will check out of your lodge and embark on a journey to your next destination which is Serengeti national park. You will be driven to the Kenya – Tanzania border at Isebania boarder where you will clear with customs and then meet another safari driver from Tanzania side who will brief you about the remaining part of your Combined Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania safari. You will be driven to Serengeti national park where you will check in your lodge for dinner and have a night sleep.

Day 15 & 16: Full day adventure in Serengeti national park
Full day in Serengeti National park: You will start your day 15 & 16 of 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari with breakfast and then your guide will drive you for your morning game viewing experience in Serengeti national park during which you will see various wildlife species which include elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, antelopes, impalas, elands among others. You will visit the retina hippo pool after returning to your lodge for lunch as you prepare to have an afternoon game drive as you enjoy the open savannah plains and kopjes where you will see lions as they observe their prey. You will enjoy driving around the national park as you look for wildlife species and watch the sunset on the way to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep as above.

Day 17: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Serengeti national park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area: Have an early morning game drive in Serengeti national park on the 17th day of your 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari after which you will return to the lodge for breakfast before embarking on your journey to Ngorongoro Crater with a packed lunch along the way as you head to Ngorongoro. Upon arrival, you will descend into the Caldera and explore it till the sun goes down then head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 18: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater and return to Arusha
Explore the crater and drive to Arusha: After enjoying your breakfast on the last day of your 18 days discover East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania) safari, you be driven into a 2000ft caldera where you will enjoy a breath taking game drive viewing several wildlife species. Have your picnic lunch and later on exit the caldera and set off on a journey back to Arusha for a hotel drop off either at a hotel or at the airport.
