Detailed itinerary of 12 Days Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar Safari
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you shall be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel of stay. Depending on your time of arrival, you can opt for a Nairobi city tour visiting the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre. Day 2: Drive to Lake Nakuru national park, Game Drive
You will have breakfast at your hotel and then check out as you continue your journey to Lake Nakuru national park across the rift valley escarpment.
Lunch will be served at your lodge after check in and after lunch, you will have another game drive in Lake Nakuru national park and you will visit the flamingo filled Lake Nakuru which is a good birding spot to see flocks of flamingos along the lake shores as well as other bird species and wildlife species grazing in the nearby plains. You will be driven back to your lodge after your evening game drive to have your dinner and overnight at Ziwa Bush Lodge for Budget and Mid-range, Nakuru Safari Lodge for Luxury

Day 3: Drive to Masai Mara national reserve, Game Drive
After your breakfast at the lodge, proceed for a transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve.
You will look out for wildlife species such as African big five like lions, leopards, Rhinos, Elephants, Buffalos and other game as you drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight Sentrim Mara Camp for Budget, Sekenani Camp Masai Mara for Mid-range, Neptune Mara Rianta Luxury Camp for Luxury
Day 4: Full Day at Masai Mara national reserve, Maasai Cultural Tour
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of your game viewing activity in the open savannah plains of the reserve. You will search for a variety of wildlife species such as the big five which include lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinos as well as other wildlife species such as such as giraffes, elephants, wildebeest, elands, zebras, topis among others. Chance to witness the great wildebeest migration and the Mara River crossing!
You will enjoy your lunch after your morning game drive as you enjoy the beautiful scenery around the reserve and watch wildlife species grazing in the plains. After lunch, you will have a Maasai cultural tour introducing you to one of the most popular tribes and cultures in Africa. Thereafter, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight as above
Day 5: Transfer from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
You will have a very early breakfast and checkout from the lodge early in the morning. You will be driven out of the reserve to the border of Isebania.
You will clear from the border customs office then after your guide in Tanzania will drive you to Serengeti National Park. You will have en route game drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 6: Full day at the Serengeti National Park
After your breakfast early at your lodge, your guide will take you on a morning game viewing experience around the vast savannah plains of Serengeti National Park where you will look for wildlife species like the big five and also wildebeests, hippos, elands, impalas, kudu, waterbucks, zebras, gazelles, giraffes and predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs among others.
You will also have lunch after your morning game drive and later engage in another game drive in the national park to search for other wildlife species and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 7: Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ngorongoro Crater Drive
After an early breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and then proceed for another game viewing experience at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will have lunch before proceeding to descend to the Ngorongoro crater (world’s largest inactive caldera) to enjoy a wildlife viewing experience.
You will search for a variety of wildlife species in the crater such as wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, elephants. You will also see predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs among others. You will also visit Lake Magadi where you will see hippos, hippos as well as other bird species. After this experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Tree Inn for Budget, Hhando Coffee Lodge for Mid-range, Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for Luxury
Day 8: Drive to Tarangire National Park, Walking Safari
After having breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Tarangire national park which is home to large herds of elephants and other wildlife species. You will have a stop in Mto wa Mbu town where you will visit craft shops and also interact with the locals on your way to the national park.
You will also engage in a game drive and explore the park, and enjoy seeing the diverse scenery of the national park. You will also look out for different wildlife species around the national park such as antelopes, gazelles, buffalos, leopards, waterbucks, monkeys, baboons among others as well as different bird species.
After your game drive, enjoy lunch, and later on get to embark on one of the most amazing activities, a guided walking safari. A walking safari in Tarangire brings you up-close with nature and wild life including zebras, antelopes, giraffes, among so many others. The walking safari is guided by park officials who are conversant with the park.
Return to the lodge thereafter, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Drive to Arusha and Flight to Zanzibar

Day 10: Prison Island, Spice Tour and Stone Town
You will have breakfast at your hotel and after this you will start your day’s activities.
You shall have a Stone town tour and explore the alleyways of the town as you get to know about the history of Zanzibar and its different cultures. You will take a private boat from Stone town to Changuu Island or Prison Island where you will enjoy seeing the Giant tortoises and during your tour of the island you will also enjoy snorkeling. You will take a boat back from Changuu Island back to Stone town.
On this day you will also engage in a spice tour as you explore the plantations where you will see different exotic spices and also get to know the uses of the spices like cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg among others. After the spice tour, you will return to your hotel, relax and spend the night.

Day 11: Zanzibar Beach Experience
You will have a day to relax at the white sand beaches of Zanzibar island and enjoy views of the Indian ocean.
