Detailed itinerary of the safari
Day 1: Arrival and Kampala city tour
On the 1st day of the 10 Days Best of Uganda safari you will be picked from Entebbe international airport, you will be picked by our company’s safari driver who will then give you a short briefing and head to Kampala city. In Kampala you will be have a short city tour if you arrive early, in Kampala you will visit sites like Kasubi tombs, Gadhafi mosque, shopping malls and many more. In the evening you will have lunch and stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: transfer from Kampala to Murchison falls national park with rhino tracking
On the 2nd day of the safari you will wake early in the morning for breakfast, checkout then embark on your drive to Murchison falls national park, on your way you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary a home to the remaining population of rhinos in Uganda. In Ziwa rhino sanctuary you will do rhino tracking, you will later have lunch and then head to Murchison falls national park using Kichumbanyobo gate. When you arrive in the park you will have check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: game drive and launch cruise
On the 3rd day of the 10 Days Best of Uganda safari you will have early morning breakfast then head to the park for a morning game drive, on the drive you will have an opportunity to spot various animals such as lions, Uganda kobs, giraffes, antelopes and many more. You will return to the park for lunch and in the afternoon you will return to the park for a launch cruise at the bottom of the falls on river Nile, on the cruise you spot animals like hippos, Nile crocodiles and many bird species. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.
Day 4: transfer to Kibale national park
On the 4th day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast at your lodge, checkout and embark on a 8 hours’ drive heading to Kibale national park, on your way you will have en-route lunch and when you arrive in the park you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On the 5th day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast and head to the forests of Kibale national park for a chimpanzee tracking experience, Kibale forest national park a famous home for 13 species of primates include Olive Baboons, Bush babies / Demidoff Galago, Black and White colobus, Potto, Chimpanzee, Vervet monkeys, Blue monkeys, Grey Cheeked mangabey, Ugandan red colobus, L’Hoest monkey, Red tailed monkey, Uganda mangabey and De Brazza’s monkey. Before the safari you will have briefing at the park’s headquarters in which rules and regulations to follow will be read to you then head into the forests in search for chimpanzees, on the trek you will see many other primates and when you find the chimpanzees you will enjoy seeing chimpanzee collect fruits, play on tree branches an take pictures. You will then head back to your lodge for lunch and after you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park on a drive of 3 hours, you are to arrive in the park in the evening, check into yoyr lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6: game drive and launch cruise on Kazinga channel
On the 6th day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast and head to Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth national park for a game drive, on the drive you will enjoy sights of many animals such as elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards, antelopes and many more. You will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will head to Kazinga channel for a boat cruise, Kazinga channel connects Lake George to Lake Edward and while on the cruise you will enjoy views of hippos, crocodiles and many bird species such as herons, grey crested cranes, egrets, shoebills and many more. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 7: transfer to Bwindi via ishasha sector
On the 7th day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast at your lodge and embark on journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park with en-route in the ishasha sector for sights of tree climbing lions. Your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park takes about 6- hours and when you reach in the park you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 8: mountain gorilla trekking
On the 8th day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast then head to the park’s headquarters for briefing and registration, at the headquarters you will be taken through rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking, hire porters and then be assigned a gorilla family to trek. From the headquarters you will head into the forests of Bwindi on a trek of 3-6 hours looking for mountain gorillas, the time taken to find the gorillas depend on the movement of the gorillas and terrain. When you meet the gorillas you will mind blown with the amazing structure of these fur covered primates, you are given only one hour to be in presence of mountain gorillas while taking pictures and observing the behavior of the gorillas. You will then trek back to the park headquarters and in the afternoon you can go for an optional Batwa community walk or rest at your lodge, on the Batwa community walk you will be entertained by local drama and songs, demonstration of hunting skills, building of houses using local materials and many more. In the night you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 9: transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
On the 9th day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast, checkout and embark on your journey to Lake Bunyonyi, Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake and a great tourist destination in Uganda. This lake comprises of various islands and a huge population of birds. Your journey to Lake Bunyonyi takes about 3-4 hours and when you reach in the park you will go for an afternoon boat ride visiting islands such as punishment islands, Kyahugye Islands, Bushara Island and many more. On this ride you will enjoy sights of many bird species such as Pied kingfisher, Malachite kingfisher, Cinnamon-chested Bee eater, Bronzy sun bird, Pied wagtail, Grey shrike, Grey crowned crested crane, Hadada ibis, Swamp fly catcher, Black heron, Great cormorant, Fan-tailed widow bird and many more. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 10: Transfer back to Kampala
On the 10th and last day of the safari you will have early morning breakfast then embark on your journey to Kampala for a drop-off, on your way you will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and another stopover at the equator for monumental pictures. At the equator you will be amazed to be standing at a point where earth is divided into northern and southern hemisphere, when you reach in Kampala you will be dropped at your residence or at Entebbe international airport in Entebbe for your departure flight.
