Serengeti National Park Fees 2021-2022: Serengeti national park is an excellent Tanzania wildlife destination and a world Heritage Site teeming with wildlife recorded to be over 2 million including 4000 lions, leopards, 550 cheetah and over 500 bird species. Serengeti national park covering an area of 14,750 square kilometers is located in the northern region of Tanzania stretching to Tanzania – Kenya border.

Serengeti national park is an adventurous Tanzania safari destination to visit for activities like game viewing bird watching, witnessing the annual wildebeest migration, hot air balloon safari, nature walks among others. 

Serengeti national park is under the administration of the TANAPA (Tanzania National parks Authority) which is responsible for drafting fees and tariffs paid in the park, below are the Serengeti park fees from  2021 – 2022.

Important points to note 

  • Conservation and Vehicle fees in Serengeti national park are for multiple entry 
  • Fees once paid is non-refundable 
  • Proof of identification mandatory at any entry gate of Serengeti national park 
  • All charges are VAT (18%) exclusive 
  • Expatriates/residents and their dependents living in Tanzania must have either of the following documents: residents permit Class A,B or C, exemption certificate, temporary pass attached with Government receipt plus acknowledgement letter and Diplomatic passport or ID 
  • EAC citizen are national of Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda and South Sudan with valid national IDs of their respective countries. Nationals of other EAC member states must produce their passport at entry gate of Serengeti national park.
  • Holders of Directors Pass/Camp Manager are not allowed to be accompanied by visitors during their visit in Serengeti national park.
  • Concession fees are paid upfront. 
  • EAC private vehicles are strictly prohibited to conduct any tourism business in the park
