CHYULU HILLS NATIONAL PARK ENTRANCE FEE (1st January, 2022 to 30th June, 2022)

Chyulu Hills national park Entrance Fee : Chyulu Hills national park a beautiful national park tucked away between Tsavo west national and Amboseli national park, the park boasts striking and diverse and diverse landscapes. Chyulu Hills national park is also referred to as green hill of Africa is found in the south East region close to Tsavo national park and stretches over an area of 741 square kilometers.

Chyulu Hills national park protects a range of volcanic mountains which run parallel to Mombasa highway, the landscape of the park comprises of black frozen lava studded  with blazing red-hot poker trees, rounded hills and volcanoc vents that contain solidified black lava flows which run down at irregular intervals.

Chyulu Hills national park is a home to a variety of wildlife including eastern black rhinos, cape buffaloes, bush pigs, Masai giraffe, leopards, lions, mountain reedbucks, steenbok, wildebeests, Grant’s zebras, cheetahs among others and several species of birds.

Kenya Wildlife Services an authoritative organization responsible for the administration of the park has introduced new Chyulu Hills national park Fees. These fees are effective from 1st January 2022 to 30th June 2022.

Categories/status of tourists

Park fees in Chyulu Hills national park are charged basing on the 5 categories of the tourists/visitors that is Students, Children, Citizens, Resi`dents and Non- Residents.

Students

Students are individuals visiting Chyulu Hills national park from a recognized education institution such as primary, secondary, government or private college or university. Visitors in this category have to be visiting the park on a safari arranged by the education purpose and have to be aged 23 years and below.

Students have to be visiting the park for conservation and education purposes.

Note: The institution is required to write a formal letter to Kenya Wildlife Services in a minimum of 2 weeks to inform them about your trip, this is to give the authority enough time to issue a written authorization for student rates.

Students on a individually organized visit to Chyulu Hills national park are not eligible for student fees.

Children

Children are visitors from the age of 3 years but below the age of 18 years.

Citizens

Visitors categorized as Citizens are individuals who are born and residing in Kenya, these individuals also have to be in possession of Kenya National IDs or passports. The category of Citizens also includes visitors who are citizens of the East Africa Community member countries (Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan).

Residents

Visitors of Chyulu Hills national park categorized as residents are individuals which are not citizens of Kenya but are residents of Kenya with working permits or valid residence permits which are issued by the Kenyan Government.

Non-Residents

Non-Residents are foreigners or international tourists who do not work or live in Kenya.

Payments in Chyulu Hills national park are made using cashless payment methods including Mpesa, Visa Cards, MasterCard and direct deposits to KWS Bank accounts.
