Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi impenetrable National Park – Batwa experience

Depending on the sector you intend to trek in, you will proceed to check in your hotel for lunch then have a rest.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park:  Day 2 of 4 days Uganda Rwanda primate safari and cultural tour is the best day you have been waiting for and all you need is to arise as early as possible, have breakfast, pack drinking water and snacks then meet your safari driver for a transfer to the briefing grounds where you will find other trekkers. During briefing, you will be advised on how to behave while in the habitat of endangered mountain gorillas, the gorilla trekking dos and don’ts and many more then be grouped into small groups of maximum 8 trekkers and be allocated armed rangers who will lead you into the forest to search for the habituated mountain gorillas. The entire trek takes about few minutes to 7 hours depending on several factors such as the movement of gorillas, the trekking speed since you must all walk at the pace of the slowest person in your group and also the nature of the terrains among others. As soon as you find the gorilla family, you will spend only one hour taking photographs and viewing these gentle giants as they feed, breast feed, copulating and many more then exit the forest back to the park headquarters from a gorilla trekking certificate and return to your lodge for a brief relaxation.

Transfer to Volcanoes national park: You will later on check out of the lodge and meet your safari driver once again for a transfer back to Rwanda direct to Volcanoes national park via Cyanika border. Upon park arrival, you will check in your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Golden monkey trekking and visiting the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village

Golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes national park: After an early breakfast on day 3 of 4 days Uganda Rwanda safari and cultural tour, you will be transferred by your safari driver to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about golden monkey trekking together with other travelers that intend to participate in a similar adventure. After briefing, you will then start the journey into the forest to search for the habituated golden monkeys which takes you about 2-3 hours. Day 4: Drive back to Kigali for city tour and departures

Kigali city tour and departures: This day 4 of 4 days Uganda Rwanda safari is the last day of your safari and depending on your flight details, you will start your day with a heavy breakfast at your lodge then check out and start the road drive from Volcanoes national park direct to Kigali. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will have lunch at any hotel of your choice then embark on a city tour to visit some Kigali genocide memorial sites which were put in place to commemorate thousands of Rwandese that lost their lives during the genocide in 1994. You will also visit Kimironko market and any other site in Kigali. After city tour, you will then be dropped off at Kigali international airport for departures.
