Detailed itinerary of 4 Days Ndutu Migration Safari Calving Season

Day 1: Arusha – Serengeti South – Ndutu Area

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha or from Kilimanjaro International Airport upon arrival and then transferred to Arusha Airstrip for your short flight of approximately 50 minutes to Serengeti North Ndutu Area.

Upon arrival, you will meet your driver guide for a full day game drive in Ndutu to view the migration. In the evening, we will drive to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Lake Ndutu Area is situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation area, a part of the Southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is an alkaline lake however the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short grass plains from December to April, usually the area is heavily populated with elephant, birds and resident game.

Day 2 – Follow the Migration

You will have an early morning game drive at Ndutu Area and in the afternoon, head back to your camp for lunch. You will also enjoy an evening game, then back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

The Great Wildebeest Migration is a great world event that Tanzania is proud of will be provided and in the evening as the sun goes down.

Day 3 – Ndutu Area – Seronera

Early in the morning, enjoy a hot air balloon safari, then back to the camp for your breakfast followed with an afternoon game drive en route to Serengeti Central (Seronera).

Serengeti National Park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife particularly the “Big Five”, named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters – lion. The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem, African leopard, these reclusive predators are commonly seen around.

Day 4 – Serengeti – Arusha (Departure)

Enjoy morning game drive, then back to the camp for breakfast. Afterwards, you will be driven back to Arusha where you will be dropped off to your hotel on own arrangement or the airport for your flight back home.
