On mountain gorilla trekking you will have a face to face encounter with one of the habituated gorilla families in the jungle of Bwindi.

Detailed itinerary of 3 days Uganda Gorilla Safari
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala / Entebbe to Bwindi impenetrable national park
To start the safari, you will be picked from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala by our guide and embark on a journey of 8-9 hours to Bwindi impenetrable national park located in south western Uganda, Bwindi impenetrable national park is a home to half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas. Along the journey, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery as you drive across the rural country side.
You will have a stopover in Mbarara City for lunch and proceed to the park arriving in the evening, check into your lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Have early morning breakfast and transfer to the park’s headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trekking rules, you will be divided into groups of 8 people and each group will assigned a different gorilla family to trek. Trek into the forests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas, the trek lasts between 1 – 8 hours before you meet the gorillas.
Bwindi impenetrable national park has a steeply forested landscape that is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists, during the trek you will spot other primates, birds and rare tree species. When you find the gorillas you will spend one hour in the presence while observing their humanly like behavior, you will then trek back to the park’s headquarters where you will be rewarded by gorilla trekking certificates.
You will then transfer from Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi the deepest lake in Uganda and the second lake in Africa, the lake is dotted with several islands and is a home to a huge population of birds. Arrive in the evening, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi and transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will head to the lake for a boat ride on which you will visit several islands, enjoy sights of several bird species and interact with the locals, later you will transfer back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and at the equator for pictures.
When you arrive in Kampala, you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight back home.
