DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Welcome to Uganda
- Welcome in Uganda: On day 1 of 16 days Uganda & Kenya safari tour, you will be picked up by a safari driver from Entebbe international airport upon landing, be briefed about this 16 days safari in Uganda and Kenya as you head to your reserved hotel either in Entebbe or Kampala for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale forest national park
- Kampala – Kibale forest national park: After a relaxed breakfast at your hotel on day 2 of 16 days Uganda & Kenya safari tour, check out of the lodge, meet your safari driver and start the journey from Kampala to Kibale forest national park where with an enroute lunch. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at the lodge for dinner and have an overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking / Habituation experience
- Chimpanzee trekking /Habituation in Kibale forest national park: After breakfast on day 3 of 16 days Uganda & Kenya safari tour, you will meet your safari driver and set off for a briefing at the park headquarters in Kanyanchu and later on start the adventure of chimpanzee trekking /Habituation experience in kibale forest. In case of chimpanzee trekking, only one hour of close interaction with chimpanzees is allowed. However, in case of chimpanzee habituation, 4 hours are allowed with chimpanzees. During the chimpanzee trekking/Habituation experience in kibale forest, you will encounter with other wildlife species including other primates since kibale national park is a home to 113 primate species, be sure to encounter mammals, bird species, butterflies species as well as different plant species. Later on, return to the lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
- Kibale forest national park – Queen Elizabeth national park: Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, head out for a guided nature walk or have a visit to the caves then check out of the lodge after lunch to start day 4 of 16 days Uganda & Kenya safari tour with a drive from kibale forest national park to Queen Elizabeth national park which is a famous destination for tree-climbing lions and the kazinga channel that harbors a huge population of Hippos, crocodiles and water birds. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Kasenyi plains Game drive & Kazinga channel Boat cruise
- Game drive & Boat cruise: Have a breakfast in the morning on day 5 of 16 days Uganda & Kenya safari tour then meet your safari driver to head to kasenyi plains where you will spend a half day on a thrilling game drive while encountering with lots of mammals such as elephants, Uganda kob, lions, Buffaloes and plenty of bird species all with the savanna vegetation cover of queen Elizabeth national park. Day 6: Tree climbing lions and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
- Tree climbing lions & Bwindi impenetrable national park: After breakfast on day 6 of 16 days Uganda & Kenya safari tour, you will check out of the lodge with a packed meal and head to Ishasha sector for a half day game drive to meet the tree-climbing lions. After the game drive, have your lunch and then exit Queen Elizabeth national park and head to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will arrive in the evening for check-in at your reserved lodge, have diner and take a nap.
Day 7: Gorilla trekking
- Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park: Arise as early as possible on day 7 of 16 days Uganda & Kenya safari tour, have breakfast and be driven to the park headquarters depending on which sector you are trekking, have a briefing with other trekkers and finally start the exciting adventure as you search for habituated mountain gorillas in their nature habitat. You will be excited to finally encounter with the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest, spend one hour with the gorillas and later on return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for canoe ride

Upon arrival at the lake, check in at the hotel reserved for you, have lunch and embark on an evening canoe ride to explore the beautiful islands along Lake Bunyonyi surrounded by hills, terraces and beautiful sceneries at the lake shores. Day 9: Nature walk & Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

Day 10: Walking safari & Boat cruise

Day 11: Game drive and transfer to Jinja

Return to the lodge for a meal and check out to start the journey to Jinja which is roughly 5-6 hours’ drive. Once you arrive in Jinja, you will check in for dinner and have an overnight.
Day 12: White water rafting & Transfer to Kampala

This is a half day activities and by 2:00pm, you will be done. Day 13: Fly from Entebbe international airport to Jomo Kenyatta international airport & Transfer to Masai Mara national reserve

Day 14: Full day in Masai Mara

You will either move with packed lunch or else return to the lodge during lunch hours and embark on an afternoon and evening game drive.
Day 15: Full day in Masai Mara
- Spend yet another full day in Masai Mara: On day 15 of 16 days Uganda & Kenya safari tour, wakeup on a cup of coffee for breakfast and embark on a full day wildlife viewing safari within Masai Mara national reserve to explore the remaining parts of the Masai Mara national reserve. Drive towards Mara River to view the wildebeest as they prepare for migration between Masai Mara national reserve in Kenya and Serengeti national park in Tanzania. In the afternoon, you may enjoy hot air balloon to explore Masai Mara from above before the sun goes down. Day 16: Transfer to Nairobi for departures
