Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Uganda Wildlife, chimps and Gorilla Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast at your hotel in Kampala or on arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative (driver guide). After a short briefing about the safari, you will embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park and home to 451 bird species and 76 mammal species. Along the way, you will enjoy sightings of the country side, have a stopover in Masindi for lunch and proceed to the park.
When you arrive in the park, you will head to the top of the falls where you will watch the River Nile make its way through a 8 meters gorge and dropping nearly 45 meters below as it continuous its course. You will realize that the ground is shaking here and there is a very impressive rainbow. There after continue to your lodge and check-in, have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Murchison Game drive and the Nile Boat cruise
Have a tasty breakfast and set out for a game drive, with the guidance of a tour guide. You will visit some of the finest places of the park where you will see several animals such as lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelope and many more grazing in the savannah plains.
Head back to your lodge for lunch and have some rest, in the afternoon you will go for Nile boat cruise. On the boat you will have a great time on the Victoria Nile, the boat takes you to the bottom of the falls and you will observe various animals like elephants, crocodiles, large numbers of hippos, buffaloes, waterbucks and several bird species such as storks, fish eagle among others. While at the bottom of the falls, you will have a great time watching the magnificent waterfalls.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest
Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge, checkout and drive to Kibale Forest National Park – the primate capital and home to a huge population of chimpanzees. Along the way, you will enjoy the fascinating scenery of this countryside which makes the journey more exciting.
Have en-route lunch in Fort Portal Town and continue as you will have great views of the Rwenzori ranges, check in at your lodge. Later in the afternoon, you will go for a guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland which is home to various birds and primate species. Have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Kibale Forest- Morning Chimpanzee trekking
Have early breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing by a ranger guide, later head into the forest in search for mountain gorillas. Kibale Forest National Park is among the charming places well-known for different primates and several crater lakes within Uganda.
The trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and as you trek through you will see many birds and other primates such as olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys among others. When you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend one hour watching them go on with their lives and take amazing pictures.
Return to the lodge for lunch, later checkout and embark on a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in late afternoon. With en-route game drive you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game dive & Launch cruise -Queen Elizabeth
Enjoy early breakfast and set out for a game drive through Kasenyi track and other tracks where you will have a chance to observe different wildlife species like lions, elephants, antelopes, cape buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes and leopards if you are lucky.
Queen Elizabeth National Park hosts a diversity of Uganda’s ecosystems such as savannah, wetlands, lakes, forests and over 600 bird species thriving in the park.
In the afternoon, you will go for a lunch cruise on Kazinga Channel, this is one of the most memorable experience in Queen Elizabeth National Park and as you cruise, you will watch different water birds such as herons, cormorants, shoebill stork and many animals such as hippos, African crocodiles, waterbucks, buffaloes among others. After experience the true wilderness, drive back to the lodge for a night rest and dinner.

Day 6: Forest Walk and Chimpanzee tracking
Enjoy breakfast and head out for a guided forest walk in the Maramagambo forest, with your ranger guide you will see diverse bird species, pythons as well as bat caves.
Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will head to the Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking, though these chimpanzees are not as many as the one in Kibale Forest National Park. it is a thrilling experience, you will watch the chimpanzees go on with their life in the forest and take amazing pictures.
In the evening, you will have a short game drive as you head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha Sector where you will get a chance to see the rare tree – climbing lions resting on the tree branches.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the most famous gorilla destination in the world hosting the biggest population of habituated gorilla families open for gorilla trekking, the park is also home to 400 plant species, 27 frog species, 120 mammal species and over 346 bird species.
Have en-route lunch and continue with your journey while enjoying amazing and spectacular views of the banana and tea plantations, local people going on their lives and the country side. On reaching the park, check in at the lodge and spend the rest of the evening resting, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking and Community walk -Bwindi
Have early breakfast and head to the park head offices with your guide, have a briefing about the dos and don’ts in the forests of Bwindi. Then head into the rainforests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas, the treks take approximately 2 – 6 hours basing on where the gorillas spent their previous night and their feeding range.
When you locate the gorilla, you will be allowed to spend on hour in their presence watching the gorillas play on tree branches, gorilla mothers caring for their children and the dominant silverback watching the family. You can take picture as long as your flashlight is off, then trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to the lodge for a short rest.

Later head to the Batwa Community for a walk where you will visit the Batwa -indigenous people who used to live in the forests of Bwindi for so many years, enjoy traditional dances, visit the local medicine and witness the skillful hunting tactics. Head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Enjoy breakfast, checkout of your lodge and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park which is approximately 6 to 7 hours drive. You will drive through the scenic landscape and watch the local people go on with their daily life, have lunch in Mbarara and continue with your journey to Lake Mburo which is home to over 332 bird species, various wildlife species and dominated by hills and lakes covering an area of 381 square kilometers.
Some of the animals found in Lake Mburo National Park include Zebras, impalas, warthogs, topis, waterbucks, buffaloes, and reedbucks among others. Upon arriving in the park, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Return to Kampala
Have breakfast and head for an early game drive on which you will spot numerous animals like zebras, impalas, warthogs and antelopes living in the park’s many natural habitats.
Bid farewell to Lake Mburo National Park and embark on a journey back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and another stopover in Kayabwe at the Equator to take pictures. Arrive in Kampala in the evening and be dropped off either at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
