Size Of Serengeti National Park : Serengeti National park is located in the Northern region of Tanzania and it covers a total surface area of about 5,700 square kilometers and it was officially established as a national park in 1951 and it is considered as the most visited national park in the country due to the fact that it is recorded to be receiving a population of about 90,000 tourists per year.   • The western corridor of Serengeti covers a total surface 1300 square kilometers and this region is surrounded with riverine forests, flood plains, savannah, minor mountain ranges, open woodlands and valleys and it is a home to wildlife species like; hippos, crocodiles, colobus monkeys, lions, birds, hippos, giraffes, elephants.  More so, this region is famously known for hosting animals of the great migration between months of May to August.
  • There is also the central region which covers a total surface area of about 1800 square kilometers and it is famously known for hosting the rarely seen black rhinos which hide within the southern part of seronera river and a home to many animals like; hippos, fox, leopards, reedbucks, warthogs and many others.
