Queen Elizabeth National Park was formerly known as Kazinga National Park and it was renamed in 1954 to commemorate the visit of the late Queen Elizabeth 11 in Uganda, the park lies on the Western Rift Valley floor covering 1,978 square kilometres and lies at an altitude 884 – 1,337 m.
Queen Elizabeth National Park encompasses diverse habitats including savannah, forests, wetlands, and lakes.
