NGARE SERO MOUNTAIN LODGE
Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge is a beautiful lodge categorized as midrange situated in lush gardens amid forest and crystal clear waters on the slopes of Mount Meru, the lodge is among the oldest lodges in Arusha and a master piece adopted from an early colonial farmhouse which was built in the early 20th century.
The Lodge is located in a 30 kilometers drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha town, the lodge is a perfect accommodation to stay at while on a safari in Arusha national park. Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge offers a perfect stay in amidst nature with magnificent views of Mountain Kilimanjaro and green forest inhabited by colobus monkeys, skyes monkeys and various bird species.

The Lodge offers amazing accommodation in its beautiful, comfortable and spacious rooms, rooms at lodge include 10 garden rooms, 2 main house suites and farm cottage with 3 bedrooms.
Main House
The main house at Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge was built in 1905 and up now it still retains most of its original features such as long colonial verandas stretching along the front of the house. The veranda has long-armed chairs from which you can lounge and watch the magnificent lake, monkeys and the forest. On a clear day you can enjoy scenic views of the snowcapped Mountain Kilimanjaro.

Main house rooms
Main house rooms at the Lodge are situated on the first floor of the Manor of Ngare Sero, each of these rooms are equipped with a king-size double bed, a separate lounge area with a large ottoman sofas which can be turned into single beds, a spacious bath and dressing room with bathtub. These rooms also have generous veranda leading to the lounge and boots spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Summit suite
Summit suite at Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge is a newly established room at the lodge created within the roof space of the 1905 farmhouse, the heavy olive wood structure of the old farm house with thatched roof has been turned into a double suite of 160 square meters comprising of a living room and two self contained bedroom all fitted with carpets.
The summit suite offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro with its snowcapped summit , a forest reserve and the lake from the East dormer window. The summit suite consists of a living room and dining area furnished with beautiful antiques and oriental carpets, an en-suite king sized bed and an Ottoman bed and dressing alcove. The en-suite bathrooms in Summit suite have a walki in shower and a bath with a view.
Garden rooms
There are a total of 10 garden rooms at Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge nested in the tranquil garden with spectacular views of bougainvillea and jacaranda from the individual/private verandas. 8 of the 10 rooms consist of king size Zanzibar beds and 2 of the rest have twin beds. Each of these rooms is individually decorated with ethnic fabrics and handmade furniture including study tables and the ottoman sofas which can be used as a third bed upon request.
Each of the garden rooms has en-suite bathtub with a toilet, a bathtub and a dressing room.

Farm cottage
Farm cottage at Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge was initially a farm manager’s home built in the early 50s and currently a private villa, this farm cottage at the lodge is situated behind the garden rooms in a 3 minute walk from the main house.
Farm cottage consists of a state of the art kitchen, a living room, a dining room , a beautiful porch and a balcony with magnificent views of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro and its snow capped summit. This cottage also has 2 spacious and beautiful bedroom accommodating 5 people, in the en-suite bathroom there is an en-suite bathroom with spacious shower, there is also a second bathroom in the cottage with a bathtub.
