6 days Source of the Nile, wildlife and Bwindi Gorilla safari starts from Kampala or Entebbe  and ends in Kampala or Entebbe

Day 01:  pick up and transfer to Jinja (Lake Victoria) and Do a boat cruise to the source of the Nile

On arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be picked by your safari – driver guide and embark on a journey to Jinja, Lake Victoria – the source the Nile after a short safari briefing, from Kampala it is about 2 hours drive to get to Jinja. On arrival, you will have lunch and head for a thrilling boat ride on the calm waters and enjoy splendid views.

In the evening you will head to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: drive to Queen Elizabeth national park

After enjoying breakfast, you will checkout and embark on a drive to Queen Elizabeth national park – Uganda’s most popular wildlife destination famously known for tree climbing lions and abundance of wildlife. Along the way you will have lunch and proceed to the park arriving in late afternoon for a short game drive, in the evening you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3:  morning game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruiser

Wake up early for a cup of coffee and head to the park for an early game drive on the Kasenyi plain and the Mweya Peninsular around the Kazinga Channel, during the game drive you will be able to see many animals such as Uganda Kobs, elephants, lions, elusive leopards among others.

After the game drive you will head back to your lodge for late breakfast and relax for a while as you wait for lunch, in the afternoon you will head to Kazinga channel for a 2 hours boat cruise offering you opportunities to spot several animals such as elephants, cape buffaloes, hippos, Nile crocodiles and water birds such as kingfishers, pelicans, herons among others.  In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning games drive and transfer to Bwindi

Wake up for breakfast, checkout of lodge and head for an en-route game drive as you exit the park and embarking on a journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park – a home to mountain gorillas via Ishasha sector where you will be able to spot the tree climbing lions. Arrive in Bwindi in Afternoon, time for lunch, check into your lodge and have an evening of resting as your prepare for the breathtaking adventure the following day.

Day 5: mountain gorilla trekking

Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about mountain gorilla trekking experience, you will be taken through the rules and regulations to follow during the experience, be grouped into 8 people and be assigned a gorilla family to trek.

Trek into the jungle of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas and when you find them you will be allowed to stay in their presence for 1 hour while observing their behavior and taking pictures as long as your flash light is off. Then trek back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded with gorilla trekking certificates, in the evening you will go a local community visit to the Bakinga homes where you will experience their local way of life through cultural performances, visiting the art and craft shop, visiting the traditional healers among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Departure

Have breakfast, checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey to back to Kampala, along the way you will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and another stopover in Kayabwe at the equator monument. When you arrive in Kampala, you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
