Detailed Itinerary of 6 Days Bwindi Gorilla Flying Safari
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide. After giving you a short briefing about what to expect on the safari, he will drive you to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Fly to Bwindi Forest
After breakfast, you will be picked by your guide and transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for your morning scheduled flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The flight departs Entebbe 0745 arriving at around 0930, on the flight you will enjoy the aerial view of the beautiful changing landscape.
On arrival at Kihihi Airstrip, you will be met by your driver guide and transfer to the park. Check in at your lodge for lunch, in the afternoon you will head for Buhoma Village walk which will offer you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Forest. This experience you will learn about the way of lives of the Batwa people, be entertained by local dances and drama among others.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Experience
Have early breakfast and with packed lunch, you will head to the park’s headquarter for briefing from the UWA Staff, in the briefing you will be taken through the dos and don’ts while in the forest and in presence of the gorillas.
In groups of 8 people, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek and then head to the starting point. Enter into the forests of Bwindi escorted by armed rangers and trackers looking for the gorillas. The trek takes approximately 2 hours to 6 hours or more depending on the feeding range of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night, as you trek through the forests you will see other forest creatures such as chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys and many birds.
When you locate the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour in their presence observing their behaviors and their life in the forests of Bwindi, you will see baby gorillas playing on the tree branches, female gorillas taking care of the baby among others. You are allowed to take pictures as long as your flashlight is off.
After one hour, you will trek back to the park’s headquarters to pick your gorilla trekking certificates. Meet your guide and return to the lodge for an evening of resting, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Bwindi Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha
After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and embark on four (4) hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha Sector which is renowned for the rare tree climbing lions, the drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment where you will have a game drive on which you will see the tree climbing lions.
You will have lunch after checking at your lodge, in the afternoon you will have another game drive exploring the park more and seeing more animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Day in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start your day with a cup of coffee and head to the Kasenyi plains for an early morning game drive where you will see many animals including, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs and many birds.
Return to the lodge for a full breakfast, have a short rest as you wait for lunch. In the afternoon, you will head to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise safari. The channel connects Lake George to Lake Edward and is home to a huge population of hippos, during the cruise you will see hippos and crocodiles in the waters, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and many bird species such as herons, grey crested cranes among others along the banks of the channel.
In the evening, you will return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Entebbe Airport
Depending on your flight schedule (there are 2 scheduled flights with one departing at 1020 arriving Entebbe at 1125 and the afternoon flight departing at 1455 arriving at 1555), you will have breakfast, checkout of your lodge and with en-route game drive. You will transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe, upon landing you will connect for your international flight or be transferred to your hotel in either Kampala or Entebbe.
