Detailed itinerary of the safari
Day 1: arrival in Nairobi
On you arrival in Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta international airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from focus east Africa tours, your safari driver on this trip will give you a short safari briefing then transfer to Nairobi. Depending on the time of your arrival you will head for a short Nairobi city tour after checking into your hotel, on the city tour you will visit giraffe centre where you get an opportunity to feed the giraffes, Nairobi Museum and many more. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2: depart for Masai Mara
You will wake up for breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, then checkout and embark on your drive to Masai Mara game reserve, Masai Mara national game reserve is a top Kenya wildlife viewing destination and great Kenya birding site situated in the rift valley province. When you arrive in the park, you will have lunch after checking into your lodge then head to the park for an afternoon game drive for spotting of the big five that is lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos and many other animals. On the game drive you will also have an opportunity to spot birds such as saddle-bellied stork, southern ground hornbill, yellow-bellied stork, herons, ruppells vulture and many more. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: full day in Masai Mara
- You will have breakfast at your lodge and with your packed lunch you will head to the park for a full day of exploration doing morning and evening game drive, on the two game drive you will search and spot many animals such as lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, elands, wildebeests, giraffes and many colorful birds such as Ayres’s hawk eagle, Cinnamon-breasted bunting, Denham’s bustard, Giant kingfisher, Grey-crested helmet-shrike, Grey penduline tit, Hildebrandt’s starling, Jackson’s widowbird, Lazy cisticola, Ostrich, Purple grenadier, Red-throated tit, Ross’s turaco and many more. At lunch you will have picnic lunch set at any picnic site in the park and you will enjoy your meals while enjoying the views of animals and scenic endless plains. In the evening you will go for another game drive visiting other regions of Masai Mara national reserve and spotting animals and birds. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: En-route games drive and depart for Lake Nakuru
After morning breakfast at your lodge, you will checkout and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with en-route game drive on which you will have last sightings of masai Mara’s beautiful plains, lake Nakuru national park is a great Kenya birding destination famous for huge concentration of flamingoes on the shores of Lake Nakuru, water birds and rare mammal species white rhinos and Rothschild giraffes. When you arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park, you will check into your lodge then have lunch and in the afternoon you will head to the park for a game drive. On the game drive you will visit lake Nakuru for sights for hundred thousands of lesser and great flamingoes, pelicans, cormorants, Black-necked Grebe, Little Grebe, Great White Pelican, Yellow-billed Stork, African Spoonbill, Black-winged Stilt, Grey-headed Gull, Gull-billed Tern and many more. Animals spotted on the game drive include black and white rhinos, African wild dog, zebras, eland, waterbuck, lions, leopards, lions and many more. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 5: morning game drive and transfer back to Nairobi
After morning breakfast you will checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey back to Nairobi with an en-route game drive, when you arrive in Nairobi you will be dropped-off either at your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight back home.
