You will enjoy watching a variety of animals such as lions, elephants, antelopes, cape buffaloes among others during game drive in the plains of Queen Elizabeth national park and on an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel and also encounter the endangered mountain gorillas in the jungles of Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Gorilla Tracking & Queen Elizabeth Safari

Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will be met by our company representative who will pick you from your hotel early enough and embark on a 9-10 hours’ drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Along the way you will a stopover at the Equator for refreshments and take amazing pictures at the landmark and look at the traditional drums and crafts being sold.

You will have lunch in Mbarara and proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park famously known for hosting the critically endangered and rare mountain gorillas, the forest hosts an incredible variety of flora and fauna with over 348 bird species that is why it is known as a bird watchers haven.   When you arrive in the park, you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Destination:  Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water, you will have a pre-gorilla tracking briefing at 08 am. In groups of 8 people, you will 8 people you will head into the forests of Bwindi looking for the gorilla family assigned to you. The trek takes approximately 4-6 hours or more depending on the gorilla group you are trekking, you will have one of observing gorillas as they interact with each other and take amazing pictures of them.

You will then trek back to the park’s headquarters and in the go for a community walk on which you will engage with the locals. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early morning game drive, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth national park through the Ishasha Sector where you will spot the tree climbing lions, if you are luck you will be able to spot tree climbing lions lounging on fig trees. Then head on the northern side of the park on a game, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Destination:  Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 4: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a cup of coffee, you will head to Queen Elizabeth national park for a game drive along Kasenyi tracks in search for animals such as Lions, Cape Buffalos, Elephants, Warthogs, Waterbucks, Spotted hyenas, Mangoose, Kobs and leopards if you are lucky. The park hosts over 606 bird species which you will be able to spot, return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will go for a lunch cruise on the Kazinga Channel giving you an opportunity to watch many animals such as Nile Crocodiles, elephants and cape buffaloes and many birds such as herons, crested crane among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kampala

Wake up and have breakfast at your leisure, checkout and embark on a journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch, you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at Entebbe International airport for your outbound flight.
