A 5 Days Fly in Kidepo Valley National Park is an ultimate Uganda adventure that leads you to the remote park in northeastern Uganda in the Kabong district. Kidepo Valley National Park boasts a vast number of wildlife ‘’Big five’’ like lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopard and rhinos. Other animal species to see include cheetahs, hyenas, elands, zebras, giraffes, bar-eared foxes, Cercal bushbucks, hunting dogs, bush pigs and black-backed jackals.
The park is also a great location for bird enthusiasts on Uganda tours; some of the birds to see include ostriches, Kari bustards, Yellow-billed storks, and black-breasted barbets, among others. This trip starts and ends at Entebbe International Airport or Kajjasi Airstrip.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Fly in Kidepo National Park
Your safari starts with a domestic flight to Kidepo National Park. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our safari driver guide will welcome you and brief you about the safari before your domestic flight to Lomej Airstrip /Kidepo Airstrip.
The scheduled flight departs Entebbe at 12:30pm, arriving at Kidepo at 14:45pm. You will meet with another guide at the Airstrip to transfer you to your lodge for a late lunch and relaxation. Later, go for an evening game drive. Return to the lodge before the sun sets down for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Evening Game Drive
Wake up early at around 6am and drive to the park for a morning game drive targeting to see the predators like lions, leopards and cheetahs. Other animals to see include herds of elephants, duikers, Jackals , bushbucks, giraffes, zebras, and baboons. Afterward, you will return to the lodge for a late breakfast and then have lunch before embarking on an evening game drive.
Evening game drive starts at around 2:00pm and is done around the Narus River, “a permanent water source.” You will have a chance to enjoy taking perfect photos and watching a vast number of animals drinking, including lions, reedbucks, Oribis, elephants, Jackson’s hartebeest, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, klipspringers, and rhinos, among others. You will also witness various bird species like secretary birds, ostriches, Yellow -billed hornbills, little weavers, to mention a few. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 3: Hiking Mount Morungole
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge before heading on a hiking adventure along Mount Morungole in northeastern Apoka. Mount Morungole, the ancestral home for the IK people, who originated from Ethiopia, offers an exciting view of the landscape homesteads, and the eastern rift valley. You will have a chance to interact with the IK people and learn about their lifestyle, culture among others. Drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Cultural Tour
Start with another morning game drive, giving you a high opportunity to spot animals you might have missed earlier in your Uganda Safari. You will also visit Karangorok hot springs, located between hard rocks with water heating beyond 50 degrees Celsius. Expecting to have a rewarding view of the mountains and interacting with local people. Back to the lodge for hot lunch.
In the afternoon, continue with a cultural tour to the Karamojong community. You will enjoy watching their traditional instruments, Manyatta homesteads and cultural songs and dances. The cultural encounter adds depth to your Uganda tour.
Return to the lodge for dinner and a night sleep.
Day 5: Departure to Entebbe Airport
Enjoy a yummy breakfast at leisure before embarking back to Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight. This marks the end of your safari in the land of untouched wilderness, “Kidepo Valley National Park.”
