Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick-up in Kigali and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park -Kisoro
Depending on your location in Kigali, you will be picked up by our company representative/guide who will then transfer to Bwindi national park. The park is located in the south-western part of the country, it’s a 4-5 hours’ drive with en route lunch. On arrival to the park, you will proceed and check in your lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Ruhija Gorilla Lodge for mdi-range/Broadbill Forest Camp for budget
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience – Ruhija
Early in the morning after breakfast and a briefing from the UWA officials, set off for the gorilla tracking. The ranger guides will lead you into the thick forest and start your search for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about1hour. The activity can take 6-7 hours since the gorillas move up and down. This is an awesome and exciting moment and you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with the gorillas.
After the activities, transfer to Kisoro, which is about 3 hours drive. Upon arrival, proceed to check-in at your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi Hotel for budget/Lake Mulehe safari lodge for mid-range
Day 3: Second gorilla trek – Mgahinga national park
After breakfast, connect to Mgahinga national park for your second gorilla trek. You will go through the same procedure of the previous trek experience. However, this time you will hike on the Volcanoes Mountain of Mgahinga forest to find the gorillas. After an hour with gorillas. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at.
Day 4: Return to Kigali – Drop off
After breakfast, check-out and transfer back to Kigali. Upon arrival in Kigali, the driver will drop you off at a location you advise or at Kigali airport for your onward flight back home. Lunch meal, not included.
