DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer to volcanoes national park
Kigali to Volcanoes national park: On the 1st day of your safari, you will be met and picked up from Kigali city either from the airport or form the hotel by our company representative who will brief you about this 4 days adventure and transfer you to Volcanoes national park. Upon park arrival, you will pass via the park headquarters to obtain your gorilla trekking permits and proceed with your journey to check into your lodge, have dinner and grab a night rest.

Day 2: Rwanda gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park
Rwanda gorilla trekking: Have your breakfast served in the morning of day 2 of your safari then be transferred to the park headquarter for a briefing by 7:00am with other trekkers before setting off for gorilla trekking adventure in the wilderness of Volcanoes national park. After briefing, penetrate the forest in search of habituated mountain gorillas available for trekking.
Spend one hour with the gorillas after landing on them as you watch them, take photographs, and learn some of their manners such as feeding, breast feeding, copulating among others and later on be transferred back to your lodge to freshen up as you warm up for an evening cultural tour to the Ibyiwacu cultural village. Spend your evening enjoying the entertainment by the local Rwandese and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest national park
Volcanoes national park to Nyungwe forest national park: On the 3rd day of 4 days Rwanda Chimpanzee trekking and Gorilla trekking safari, enjoy your breakfast then check out of the lodge and get ready to transfer from Volcanoes national park to Nyungwe forest national park with an enroute lunch and stunning encounters along the way. Day 4: chimpanzee trekking and return to Kigali
Chimpanzee trekking: On the 4th day which is yet the last day of your safari, you are to do the adventurous chimpanzee trekking. Thus arise early in the morning for breakfast at the lodge, and meet your safari driver for a transfer to the park’s headquarters for briefing before the start of the Chimpanzee trekking experience. In the briefing, rules and regulations to follow on this safari will be read to you and then hike into Nyungwe forests in search for chimpanzees.
Nyungwe forest national park is a home to 13 primate species that are chimpanzees, golden monkey, Rwenzori colobus, L’Hoest’s, silver monkey, golden monkey, owl-faced monkey, red-tailed monkey, Dent Mona monkey, Vervet monkey, olive baboon, grey-cheeked Mangabey, and 3species of bush baby. As your hiking from the forests of Nyungwe you will get a chance to spot these primates, birds and various species of flowing plants, when you find the chimpanzee you are to spend 1 hour in the presence of chimpanzees observing the chimpanzees as they feed their babies, playing on treetops and taking amazing pictures. This trek takes about 3 hours. After the trek you will go back to the park’s headquarters, then head to your lodge for lunch as you finally check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Kigali.
Depending on your next move, you will enjoy a brief Kigali city tour and finally be dropped off at Kigali international airport for your departure flight back home or respect hotel in Kigali.
