Detailed itinerary of 14 Days Kenya Adventure Safari
Day 1 – Arrival at Nairobi Airport
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi. If you arrive early you will have a Nairobi City Tour visiting Nairobi National Park for a game viewing safari and the Giraffe Centre.

Day 2 – Drive to Amboseli National Park
Pick up from your hotel after breakfast and transfer to Amboseli National Park, drive south through Maasai County to the plains below Mt. Kilimanjaro where Amboseli is situated. Have lunch at the lodge and in the evening go for a game drive in Amboseli plains, lookout for herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes and the snowcapped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Game Drives at Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will head go for a full day game drive in Amboseli National Park.
Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya, situated close to the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa (5,896m) who snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days. Some of the animals to lookout for include zebras, large herds of elephants, wildebeests, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, antelopes, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos and many species of plain game.

Day 4 – Aberdare Ranges
Leave Amboseli with game viewing as you head to the Aberdares to enjoy the experience of staying in a Tree Hotel or lodge overlooking floodlit waterholes where wildlife and birds regularly visit. Over 40 species of wildlife inhabit the Aberdare Mountain Ranges, hiding in the heavily forested slopes and in the upper moorlands. The Aberdares is noted as a rhino sanctuary, also keep an eye out for the elusive rare bongo, which is best spotted in the upper bamboo zone and hypericum scrub.

Day 5 – Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, we proceed further north across the Equator to the edge of the Northern Frontier. Arrive in time for lunch and have an afternoon game drive returning in time for a sundowner and dinner at the lodge.
Samburu National Reserve is part of a lava plain that includes a diverse landscape of thorn scrub, red dirt, dried river beds, broken volcanic rock, steep hills, and rocky outcropping.

Day 6 – Samburu National Reserve
Spend the whole day exploring the Samburu National Reserve on morning and afternoon game drives. You may opt to do some of the activities offered at the lodges and a visit to Samburu Villages.
The light and vast openness creates alonesome panoramic beauty and the permanent water supply acts like a lure for the abundant species found here. The region is home to the uncommon Grevy’s Zebra with huge fury ears, gerenuk antelope standing on hind legs to feed, Somali Ostriches with distinct blue legs and the shy Oryx, elephants and crocodiles among others. Leopard sighting is also a special feature you will see.

Day 7 – Mount Kenya/ Sweet Waters
Enjoy a final early morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve then depart for the Mt.Kenya Region. Arrival at the lodge in time for you to enjoy the facilities of the lodge. Explore Mount Kenya National Park or take an optional tour to the nearby Sweetwater’s Reserve which is home to chimpanzees.
Sweetwater Chimpanzee Sanctuary is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya for the abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The sanctuary is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area.
Day 8 – Lake Baringo via Lake Bogoria
Morning drive via Nyahururu Falls down to the shallow soda Lake Bogoria and later to the beautiful Lake Baringo where you may enjoy the pleasure of an evening bird walk.
Lake Barigo is the most Northerly of Kenya’s small Rift Valley lakes, creased with papyrus and well developed acacia forest. Along the shores you will see hippos, crocodiles and monitor lizards. The lake also has a magnificent display of water birds with over 450 different species sighted in the area.

Day 9 – Nakuru National Park
Enjoy a morning boat ride in search of hippos, crocodile, and fish eagles. After a sumptuous lunch, we then proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru National Park covers 180 sq km and is home to several wildlife species including warthogs, waterbucks, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos. The park is an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of birds found here.

Day 10 – Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast you will depart for Masai Mara National Reserve via the Great Rift Valley arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. Then proceed for a delicious sundowner, and dinner at the lodge.

Day 11 – 13 – Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend these days exploring Masai Mara National Reserve on morning and afternoon game drives giving you the best chances of seeing wildlife. The ultimate action here is the annual wildlife migration in July – October when millions of wildebeests feast of the savannah plains of Masai Mara as part of their annual wildebeest migration.
Hot air balloon safari can be arranged and a cultural visit to Maaasai Village for a deep insight to the Maasai Culture and for traditional dances.
Day 14 – Departure- End of Safari
After a leisurely breakfast, you will embark on a journey back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at the airport bringing your safari to an end.
