Detailed itinerary of 12 Days Kenya, Tanzania Wildlife and Gorilla Habituation Experience
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Naivasha for Boat Cruise
On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide at the airport, after a short briefing you will embark on a journey to Lake Naivasha arriving time for lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise on Lake Naivasha as you head to the Crescent Island found in the middle of the lake. On this island you will engage on a guided walk for a closer encounter of several wildlife species including giraffes, zebras, warthogs, gazelles and several birds. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve which is approximately 3 hours away. On arrival in the park you will go on a game drive as you head to your lodge, enjoy your lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, you will go for game drive exploring the endless savannah plains and enjoying sightings of several animals.

Day 3&4: Experience Masai Mara with an optional hot air balloon safari
Explore the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve on these two full days on game drives and balloon safaris. You will have full game drives with picnic lunch set at one of the picnic sites along Mara River and hippo pools.
During the game drives, you will have a grand opportunity to explore the reserve and get a chance to see various animals including wildebeests, elands, zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, rhinos, rhinos, cheetahs, gazelles among others. Additionally, you can do a hot air balloon safari on which you will enjoy aerial views of reserve and an eye’s view of lions, wildebeests and other several animals and the plains.

Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park with border crossing at Isebania Border and en-route lunch. When you arrive in the park, you will have en-route game drive as you head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti
Spend a full day in Serengeti National Park exploring the endless savannah plains on full day game drive with picnic lunch. Game drives in the Serengeti are a highlight activity to do on a Serengeti Safari, some the animals to lookout for include cheetahs, elephants, lions, rhinos, gazelles, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, dik-dik, gazelles, impalas, hartebeest, topi, waterbuck and hyrax among others.

Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on a journey to Ngorongoro Crater with en-route game drive and a visit to the Olduvai Gorge. At this famous archaeological site, you will see some of the discoveries made by Dr. Leakey and his wife on display.
Continue to the crater for a walking safari on the Crater Rim for a close encounter with wildlife. Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
After breakfast, descend to the crater floor for a full day game drive. The crater floor is known for hosting abundant wildlife including the Big Five – lion, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants and rhinos which you will see during the game drive. Other animals to lookout for include giraffes, gazelles, warthogs, cheetahs, zebras among others.

Day 9: Transfer to Arusha and fly to Entebbe (Flight own booking)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch a domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport. You will be welcomed by our guide and transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi Forest
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by your guide and embark on a journey to Bwindi Forest with a stopover at the Equator for pictures and water experience and in Mbarara for lunch. Continue to Bwindi Forest arriving in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Gorilla Habituation Experience
On the 11th day of your 12 Days Kenya, Tanzania Wildlife and Gorilla Habituation Experience, have early breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park. Join other trekkers at the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla habituation experience, in groups of 4 people you will head into the forests together with researchers and scientists looking for semi-habituated mountain gorillas.
The trek through the forest takes approximately 2 to 6 hours spending on the movement of the gorillas and when you locate the gorillas, you will spend 4 hours watching the gorillas go on with their life. Watch how scientists collect samples used in studying the gorillas, identify gorillas and their individual characteristics and take amazing pictures and videos.
After this full day experience, trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to your lodge for an evening of rest, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12: Departure
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on a journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch in Mbarara. Your guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for flight back home bringing your safari to an end.
