Day 1: Pick up and Drive to Kibale national park

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will meet your guide who will welcome you and brief you shortly about your safari. After your briefing, you will start your drive to Kibale national park which will take about 5 to 6 hours’ drive. You will arrive late at you lodge and check in for dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee forest Lodge for mid-range/Isunga Lodge for budget option/Primates Lodge for luxury

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk

After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about your chimpanzee trekking activity before proceeding into Kibale forest national park where you will search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. You will enjoy seeing chimpanzees among the trees as well as other primate species like black and white colobus monkeys. After your chimpanzee trekking experience, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.

Later afternoon, take a nature walk to Bigodi swamp and be rewarded with views of different bird species and some of the available primates. En-route visit of crater lakes before you return to your booked lodge for evening relaxation and overnight stay at Chimpanzee forest Lodge for mid-range option/Isunga lodge for budget/Crater Safari Lodge for luxury option

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park via Ishasha sector of QENP

After breakfast, check-out, embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park, which is about 6-7 hours driver via Queen Elizabeth national park. Drive via Ishasha sector for an afternoon game drive for chances of seeing the tree-climbing lions before you proceed to Bwindi national park with en-route lunch, arriving in Bwindi in the afternoon and check-in your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Buhoma Haven lodge – mid-range/Buhoma community Rest Camp for budget/ Mahogany Springs Lodge for luxury

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour

After breakfast at your lodge, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a short briefing before trekking into the Bwindi impenetrable forest in search of the gorillas. You will trek through forested and steep hills as your search for the gorillas and you will spend about 1 hour with the gorillas. After your gorilla trekking activity, you will meet your guide and return to your lodge.

You will have an optional Batwa community tour where you will interact with the local community and get to know more about their ways of life and their culture. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe (8-9 hours’ drive)

You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Bwindi impenetrable national park as you prepare to drive to Entebbe. You will have a stopover at the equator where you will enjoy photography and visit the craft shops and watch the experiments at the equator. You will also have an en-route lunch before proceeding to Entebbe where you will check-in at your lodge and have your dinner and overnight at Papyrus Guesthouse for budget/Best Western Garden Hotel for mid-range /Protea Hotel for luxury

Day 6: Fly to Tanzania – transfer to Karatu

After an early breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe, you will be dropped off at Entebbe airport for your own booked flight to Tanzania.

Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro airport or Arusha airport, meet with your driver and transfer to Karatu which is about 3-4 hours’ drive from Arusha. Upon arrival, check-in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Karatu Tented Lodge for mid-range/Elileen’s Tree Lodge for budget

Day 7: Full day Ngorongoro crater experience

After breakfast, connect to Ngorongoro conservation area where you will descent to over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater. Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest inactive caldera which is home to numerous wildlife species as well as bird species such as flamingos which can be seen during a safari in the crater along the shores of Lake Magadi. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest (in months of January, February and March), zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.

You will also visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually see here. Later evening return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above

Day 8: Transfer to Serengeti national park

You will have breakfast at your lodge, check-out and transfer to Serengeti national park for more wildlife viewing experiences. It’s about 4 hours’ drive with en-route game viewing with your packed lunch, you will have lunch while enjoying the game drives via Ngorongoro area and Serengeti national park as you connect to your lodge. You will see various wildlife species during your game drive such as wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, lions, buffalos, hippos, cheetahs, leopards, elands, giraffes and many others. Check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Osinon camps and lodges for budget/Serengeti Heritage Lodge for mid-range

Day 9: Full day in Serengeti national park

You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of the full day wildlife viewing activity as you explore Serengeti national park. During your morning game drive in the wilderness of the national park, you will see a variety of wildlife species like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, Zebras, Impala, African wild dogs, Serval cats, elephants and many other species then have your packed lunches in the national park as you prepare for another game drive after lunch. You will also drive around the kopjes like the Simba kopjes during your game drive in Serengeti national park and you will enjoy seeing lions as they watch their prey in the savannah plains from the top of the rocks. You will also enjoy watching the sunset as your guide drives you back to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night at lodge as above

Day 10: Drive to back Arusha – Departure

After breakfast, check-out early and embark on your journey to Arusha which is a 7-8 hours’ drive with en-route lunch. Upon arrival, you will either be dropped off at a location you advise or be dropped off at the airport for your onward evening flight back home marking the end of the safari.
