DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be picked up by your guide from the airport or hotel within Nairobi city by 7:30 – 8:00 am, brief you about your 10 days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara wildlife safari tour. You will then set off on your drive to Masai Mara National Reserve with a stopover in Narok town one of the best stopovers for tourists heading to Masai Mara. This is about 2 hours’ drive from Nairobi city. While at Narok cultural town, you will experience the Maasai culture and get to know more about the culture as you visit the craft shops and interact with the locals.
After your experience in Narok town, you will continue your journey to the Rift valley and Escarpment viewing points for photo taking and finally proceed with your journey to Masai Mara National Reserve where you will arrive in late afternoon for a breathtaking game drive till the sun goes down. Look out for wildlife species such as Wildebeests, Zebras, Elands, buffalos, antelopes, waterbucks, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and buffalos and many more as they graze and roam around the savannah plains. You will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full day adventure in Masai Mara National Reserve
After having breakfast at your lodge on the 2nd day of your 10 days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara wildlife safari tour, you will prepare for a full day game drive in Masai Mara national reserve where you will see a variety of wildlife species which are very active and can be easily seen at this time of day such as wildebeests, zebras, elephants, antelopes, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards among others.
You will have lunch at your lodge after the morning game drive in case you don’t wish to have a picnic lunch and later on after lunch, you will have another game drive as you look for other wildlife and bird species that thrill with in Masai Mara National Reserve.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park
You have another early morning game drive on day 3 of your 10 days Kenya & Tanzania safari as you say farewell to the stunning Masai Mara National Reserve. Well, start your day with a game drive as early as 6:30 with a golden opportunity to spot several nocturnal mammals and by 8:30am, you will be done with breakfast and able to get back to your lodge for breakfast after which you will check out of the lodge and embark on a journey to Lake Nakuru national Park with an enroute lunch and stopover at Mount Longonot viewing point as you proceed to Nakuru. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 4: Transfer from Lake Nakuru national park to Nairobi then to Arusha
Enjoy your early morning breakfast on day 4 of 10 days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara safari then set off for a game drive in the wilderness of Lake Nakuru national park a famous destination for the endangered Rhinos as well as the flamingo bird species. This park is not very big and within 4 hours you would have spotted lots of wildlife species. Later on, you will exit the park and embark on your journey to Nairobi with an enroute lunch. Ensure that by 1:30pm, you are already in Nairobi city to catch and afternoon shuttle at 2:00 pm and be driven direct to Arusha- Tanzania. This as well takes you about 4 hours to arrive in Arusha. While in Arusha, you will be welcomed by our company representative in Tanzania who will then brief you about your remaining safari in Tanzania.
Day 5: Transfer to Lake Manyara national park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha by your safari driver/ guide on day 5 of your 10 days Kenya & Tanzania safari and be driven to Lake Manyara National park with a stop in Mto Wa Mbu town for a cultural experience with the Masai community. During your cultural visit, you will watch traditional dance performances, see local art and craftwork, and also listen to folk stories.
You will then proceed to Lake Manyara national park where you will check-in at the lodge and have your lunch. After your lunch, you will engage in a game drive to explore the wilderness of the national park as you search for the tree-climbing lions known for being spotted in the trees as well as other wildlife species grazing in the plains such as leopards, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, kudus, elephants, buffalos among others. You will be driven to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night after your game drive.
Day 6: Morning game drive and transfer to Serengeti national park
On the 6th day of your 10 days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara wildlife safari tour, you will enjoy your early morning breakfast at your lodge, you will then check out and enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara national park to see wildlife species which are active in the morning and easier to spot. You will continue your drive to Serengeti national park where you will check-in at your lodge for your lunch. After lunch, you will have a visit to the retina hippo pool to watch the hippos swimming in the pool in many numbers. You will also have a guided nature walk to get a close encounter with your surroundings in Serengeti national park as you enjoy the sunset. Your guide will drive you back to your lodge where you will have your dinner and overnight.
Day 7 & 8: Full day in Serengeti national park
You will start your day 7& 8 of 10 days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara wildlife safari tour with breakfast at your lodge before heading out for your morning game viewing experience in Serengeti national park to explore the Seronera area which is known for big numbers of predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs that hunt prey like wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, giraffes, buffalos, waterbucks, kudus, hartebeests among others. Lunch will be served at your lodge after your morning game viewing experience. You will have another game drive in the evening to look out for other wildlife species as you drive through the different tracks in the open savannah plains of Serengeti national park. You will see the different kopjes in the national park where lions sit and watch their prey and these kopjes include the Masai kopjes, Moru kopjes, Simba kopjes. You will return to your lodge after your game drive for your dinner and to spend the night in the comfort of your lodge. You will surely explore this magnificent park.
Day 9: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
Have an early morning game drive in Serengeti national park on the 9th day of your 10 days safari after which you will return to the lodge for breakfast before embarking on your journey to Ngorongoro Crater where you will spend your night awaiting to explore the world’s largest caldera the next day.
Day 10: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater and return to Arusha
Explore the crater and drive to Arusha: After enjoying your breakfast on the last day of your 10 days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Lake Manyara wildlife safari, you be driven into a 2000ft caldera where you will enjoy a breath taking game drive viewing several wildlife species. Have your picnic lunch and later on ascend from the caldera and set off on a journey back to Arusha for a hotel drop off.
