Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Gorillas, Chimpanzees, Serengeti and Zanzibar Holiday
Day 1: Kampala to Kibale Forest
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our safari – drive guide and after a short briefing about the safari, you will embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Park – Africa’s Primate Capital.
Along the way you will have a stop at the Equator monument in Kayabwe for a chance to stand in both Northern and Southern Hemisphere and take photos. Have another stop in Fort Portal for pictures and lunch. Continue to Kibale Forest National Park arriving in the late afternoon, check in at your lodge and spend the rest of the relaxing at the lodge and enjoying the surrounding.
Have dinner and overnight as you prepare for the next day’s amazing safari experience.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Forest
Have early breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee trekking, a senior ranger will take you through the do and don’ts and how to properly conduct yourself while in the presence of the chimpanzees.
In groups of not more than 8 people, you will head into the forests of Kibale looking for chimpanzees. The trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night, chimpanzees are very vocal primates and you will be able to hear them from a distance. When you locate them, you will be amazed by their energetic and playful nature, watch them groom each, play from one tree to another. You are allowed to take as many photos as possible. Then after return to the park headquarters, meet your guide and head to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will check out and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Southwestern Uganda. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking
Have early breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking and how to properly conduct yourself in the presence of the gorillas, in groups of 8 people you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek. Head to the starting point, enter into the forest looking for mountain gorillas.
The trek takes approximately 2 – 6 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night, you need to have a minimum level of physical fitness to trek through the rugged landscape of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas.
Once you locate the gorillas, you are allowed to spend on hour in their presence taking photos and watching them go on with their life in the forests of Bwindi, watch mothers play with babies and silverback protecting the group from any form of intruders. You are allowed to take photos as long as your flashlight time is off.
After one hour, you will head back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to your lodge. Spend the evening at relaxation and enjoying the lodge. Have dinner and overnight as above.

Day 4: Return to Kampala
Have breakfast at leisure, meet your guide and embark on a journey back to Kampala with stops in Mbarara for lunch and at the Equator that is if you missed it on the last day.
Overnight at Best Western Hotel
Day 5: Fly to Arusha and Transfer to Serengeti
Drive Time: Approx. 7 hours
Your safari guide shall pick you from your hotel of stay in Arusha, or airport upon arrival, and welcome you for the safari. He will brief you and proceed to transfer to the Serengeti national park through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you drive to the lodge in the park look out for an opportunity to see some of the various wild game of the park. Enjoy seeing a variety of animals as you drive to your lodge later, as well as a beautiful sunset over the horizon! Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Full day in Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a full day to explore the Serengeti National Park on a game drive while looking for wildlife such as giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, lions, leopards, elands, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, cheetahs among others.
You can also enjoy your lunch in the wilderness and later engage in another game drive while searching for wildlife like elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes among others. Your guide will take you back to the lodge later. Dinner and night at the lodge.

Day 7: Fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast, you will embark on a drive to Arusha where you will be dropped at the Arusha Airport to catch your flight to Zanzibar.
Upon landing on this beautiful island, you will be transferred to your hotel in Stone Town.
Overnight at Zanzibar Beach Resort
Day 8: Stone Town Tour
After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, you shall proceed to explore Zanzibar on a tour around Stone town where you will experience the history and culture of Zanzibar.
You will also visit Darajani market during your tour in stone town and later return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Dhow ride and visit Menai bay
On the second day of your safari, you will have breakfast at your hotel and prepare for the day’s activities such as a boat ride on a traditional dhow and during the activity you will look out for dolphins in the water
You will also enjoy snorkeling and swimming, sunbathing on one of the islands as you enjoy seeing the coral reef and marine life. You will also have lunch and also relax and sunbathe. After this experience, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: departure
You will have breakfast at your hotel as you prepare for you flight from Zanzibar on the last day of your safari which will bring the safari to an end.
